In an interview with Music Week, due to be published in full on June 7, Kylie Minogue expressed her interest in playing UK festivals this summer and is not ruling out the possibility of replacing U2 in the headline slot at Glastonbury.

 

“I’ve been asked ‘hypothetically if U2 were doing Glastonbury and couldn’t do it, would you hypothetically consider it?’ I said hypothetically I would,” says Minogue. “But I honestly don’t know what is going to happen."

 

Discussing her forthcoming album Aphrodite, released via Parlophone on July 5, and its suitability for delivery in a festival environment Minogue says “I did think about [performing it at a festival] a lot when I was making the album because you have no control, your hands just go up, perhaps it is the emotion with the dance music that makes it feel like it can reach out beyond the arena shows that I normally do. It would be fun to have all those rush moments at a festival.”

Not sure about this year but Kylie will play Glastonbury in the near future as its something she seems to really wat to do,i know she had it all lined up at the time she became ill with breast cancer and had to cancel but i feel its something thats on Kylie;s to do list.
