September 10, 200618 yr Anybody else here the documentary and pre-recorded gig on Radio 1 today? The gig itself sounded good. Brandon's vocals sounded a tad flat again especially on When We Were Young which for the first 15 seconds sounds absolutley dire live IMO. Some of the new songs they previewed sounded good though. ^_^
September 11, 200618 yr the only live performance ive watched on telly was jools holland and they were great- hot fuss was awesome and this new album will be too thats why i really hope my idea for a killers forum will happen...i do believe sams town will be great!
September 11, 200618 yr I'm not overtly fussed on this at all, grrrr. Though I shall still check out the album, hopefully that is better than this :(
September 11, 200618 yr I quite like this song, but is it just me, or does Brandon sound like he's going over a cattle grid when he's singing?
September 11, 200618 yr I quite like this song, but is it just me, or does Brandon sound like he's going over a cattle grid when he's singing? From what i've heard so far Brandon's singing is really really rusty at the moment. :( I can't say i've been over a cattle grid though so I have no idea if there is a simularity between the two. :(
September 12, 200618 yr afte rquite a few listens now im really not feeling this song lik ei have done with all there others,it has no hook for me at all,im actually very disappointed with it now
September 13, 200618 yr I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't get the fuss about this track. I don't think it's anywhere near as good as Somebody Told Me, Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine or Mr. Brightside. If anything I find it bland. I've gone off so many bands I used to like a lot recently. Muse used to be my favourite band, but I don't get the hype of their latest album. I think they've done far better stuff with their previous albums. Similarly The Zutons, Scissor Sisters and Goldfrapp are doing better than ever chartwise, but I thought their older stuff was much better. They all seem to have reached their commercial peak with their blandest material, but I guess that stands to reason.
September 14, 200618 yr yes its very bland when iforst herad it i thought it was ok but after a few listens im getting to dislike it more and more whicg is disappointing as i loved the first album to pieces

September 26, 200618 yr the c4 weekend will be great promo for the new album, i wonder will it come near the first week sales the scissor sisters managed
September 27, 200618 yr I hope so, but don't think it will as SS had a much stronger comeback single than the killers...
September 27, 200618 yr the c4 weekend will be great promo for the new album, i wonder will it come near the first week sales the scissor sisters managed I doubt it will come anywere near TBH. Some early reviews of the album have been a bit hit and miss; some peole love it and some people hate it. I've heard a couple of tracks off the album and some tracks I really like were as some I really just don't feel. :( I'm still buying the album though but the slaes will be a lot more wide spread I reckon.
September 27, 200618 yr I wonder how much the album will sell first week? I reack about 150k ^_^
September 27, 200618 yr I wonder how much the album will sell first week? I reack about 150k ^_^ I think thats about right. Thats what i'd give as a rough estimate but TBH I don't know how much it could sell. :o I mean it could be a huge first week seller as a lot of the fans are more likely to be album buyers rather than single buyers so yeah.
September 29, 200618 yr so who watched the show tonight? and what do you think of the songs they showcased? I'm not sure about Sam's Town (the title track) yet but I really liked Read My Mind...
