June 4, 201015 yr Author Well everyone, we are now entering the top10. The countdown will starts at 9pm tonight. Untill then though - Who is in the top 10? Who is in the top 3? What is the best performing number 2 single of all time in the UK ?
June 4, 201015 yr Use Somebody and Stranger On The Shore are the only ones still to come that I can think of.
June 4, 201015 yr Surprised at all the more recent tracks so high. I again never realised 'Black And Gold' stuck around for such a long time. Brilliant track though. I agree with Bray, also wasn't expecting 'Empire State Of Mind' be feature so high up either.
June 4, 201015 yr I can only think of The Pogues, Take That, Kings Of Leon and Acker Bill. There's probably more #2 hits from 2005-2008 with long chart runs that I'd completely forgotten about.
June 4, 201015 yr I think the top 3 will look like this 3 take that rule the world 2 Kings Of Leon Use somebody 1 Acker Bilk Stranger on the shore

June 4, 201015 yr 'Valerie' and 'Low'. :drama: 'Valerie' is one of the best covers I've heard. There's bound to be some posters who will disagree but Amy Winehouse really did make that song her own thanks to Mark Ronson. As for 'Low'. Well, it deserves to be "low". Dum-dum-tish!!! :( It's ok I guess. 'Fairytale Of New York' - one of the best, if not the best, Christmas songs of all time. Overrated? Hell yeah but muchly deserved. Unlike Marish. :P
June 4, 201015 yr Author 7. Take That - Rule the world (2007) - 2014 Points Chart Run - 46-{2}-2-2-2-3-4-5-7-7-5-5-9-14-17-19-26-30-24-20-27-32-33-39-46-50-59-68-69-66-70-61-65-65-67-71-65-61-66-55-58-34-66-41-57-68-71-67-55-46-27-40-45-48-49-45-59-63-69-71-69-71-72-73-62-68-73-67-67-73-57-66 KII1ruAfvsg

June 4, 201015 yr I like "Fairytale of New York" but I still prefer Mariahs christmas song I do like Mariah's Xmas song but I'm sure it gets played more every Xmas compared to The Pogues' classic. For starters, 'All I Want...' is used in one of those TV commercials (for DSF?) every year. There's no escaping 'All...' throughout the whole of December and early January each and every year.
