Worst song I have ever heard. Truly terrible on several levels.

I remember Curtis Stigers! Quite liked him actually, especially 'You're All That Matters To Me'. The Cheeky Girls were at number 363 with their song.
Use Somebody is a terrible song.

Anyone remember Curtis Stigers?

'Use Somebody' was alright at first but it suffered to overkill and I've seen that video on TV far more than I have 'Sex On Fire' which I still think is a brilliant rock anthem.

Doesn't Use Somebody sound like a Curtis Stigers song?

wasnt Curtis Stigers related to michael Bolton..

Yeah. They had the same hairdresser.

Before I post the top 2. Just thought I would say thanks for all your views and comments and I hope you all enjoyed the countdown and found it interesting.

If you did like it then you will be pleased to know that in a few weeks ill be counting down the top number 1 singles based on their chart runs. Hopefully you will find that just as interesting and will join me again for that countdown

Edited by Dannyboy

Set You Free nearly top 40  I know down to its 2001 re-issue but for a dance song to go top 5 twice six years apart was something very special indeed :D

Because it's an awesome dance track. I think only Olive's 'You're Not Alone' can surpass it for me. They don't make dance how they used to :o It's definately one of the genres that has gone downhill imo whilst others have flourished and evolved. 90s dance was supreme <3

The chart run for 'Rule The World' is astounding. I too hope for a KOL #1. Never get tired of that track.

Thanks for your hard work, Dannyboy. I think that the Number 1s will be slightly less entertaining because people forget what has got to number 2 over the passage of time moreso than number 1.

Very entertaining and I wont hold you responsible for the quality of the Top 3 songs.

It's been brilliant Dannyboy, a really great countdown and clearly you've put loads of effort into this so credit to you. :D

I reckon the #1's countdown could be just as interesting - if not more because there's been loads of no. 1 singles that have had incredible chart runs. It's always easy to pick out the main contenders but it's nonetheless interesting to see exactly who does finish on top.

Chart Run - 32-16-14-6-6-8-{2}-2-2-5-8-7-12-11-13-8-8-7-6-7-13-12-10-15-13-12-11-12-11-11-9-9-17-19-18-20-19-18-22-23-27-30-32-31-38-47-39-35-40-33-31-45-39-43-37

Frank Chacksfield would have had a ton more points if the chart was more than a Top 12 back in 1953. Also similarly the Oberkirchen Children's Choir
