"There will be 200 million people watching my song. I'll take that. That sounds good to me!"
TAD BIT SELFISH. It's Josh who is going to get the stick and get noticed if he comes last, not Pete Waterman really.

The bit that made me laugh was:

"international superstars like Rick Astley"

Say whut!

Rick Astley was an international superstar at the time. Topped the US charts and did well worldwide!

...in 1988, yes. Pete Waterman is still living on a dusty 1988 cloud #9. He's destined to spend the rest of his life there whilst everybody else is 22 years ahead of him. Shameful. :(

its not only the song contest that twats arrogant about...its his whole attitude to music which he sees as a money making vehicle and not the art form it is.

Anyone with that sort of attitude shouldn't be let anywhere near the Song Contest! :arrr:

To be honest it's not like the Eurovision Song Contest is going to make you millions (Unless you're Abba) so I don't see why he'd want anything to do with the Contest if he's just in it for money.

Just listened to the live rehearsal, imo the newer version of the song is worse....at least the first one had some dancy life to it....the new version sounds like the old version except it's just about to fall asleep.

Wait, Josh is straight?

It's telling that that's the only part of the article that surprises me.

Same here, I choked on my croissant when I read it in the paper this morning

I can't wait to hear what kind of excuses Pete Waterman comes out with now, although it'll probably be poor old Josh who'll get the most stick.
