July 13, 201015 yr Author Oh God yes. Even as a rubbish gai, it's plainly obvious that Natalie Imbruglia is one of the most stunning women in earth.
July 13, 201015 yr ya she is definitly stunning and she has an amazing smile and her eyes just catch me everytime i see them!
July 14, 201015 yr Author 11. Beauty On The Fire (6.71) (#26 in 2002) 3PjMWxwmFVA Well we're into the decent averages now. Beauty On The Fire just misses out on a top 10 finish by mere fractions. And I'm actually disappointed for it, as I think this is her most underrated single. Menacing and dark in the verses, anthemic in the chorus. I love it. My only small gripe is that I really am not sure what Natalie thought of this track when she decided a club video was a perfect match.
July 14, 201015 yr I would HARDLY call the chorus 'anthemic'! It's perfectly lovely, highly pretty in places but ultimately pretty forgettable I think.
July 14, 201015 yr Author I would HARDLY call the chorus 'anthemic'! It's perfectly lovely, highly pretty in places but ultimately pretty forgettable I think. Well look, it's the closest to 'anthemic' poor old Nat's ever got. It'll have to do.
July 14, 201015 yr Well look, it's the closest to 'anthemic' poor old Nat's ever got. It'll have to do. TORN!
July 14, 201015 yr Author TORN! I don't know. Torn is undoubtedly a great song, but I'll be honest, I don't find the chorus as catchy.
July 14, 201015 yr I liked Beauty On The Fire, but I cant say im that gutted about it failing to make the top 10 - it's hardly a Natalie highlight. Saying that though, first time i've listened to it in quite a while and im loving it a lot more than I remember
July 14, 201015 yr Author Well, Beauty On The Fire is certainly better than this HOT MESS of a record. 10. That Day (6.79) (#11 in 2001) H4pNuqMgFI4 For an act whose previous album had yielded three top 10 hits, sold millions, and spawned the BEHEMOTH that was Torn, it was more than a little underwhelming when the big comeback hit limped in at #11, and the album barely scraped the top 15 a week later. And I do place the blame at the choice of lead single. Natalie was always a more credible artist than her fellow Neighbours graudates such as Kylie (oh yes I went there), Jason and, erm, Stefan Dennis. But nevertheless, she was never going to be be able to pull off the Alanis Morissette act convincingly. A pleasant enough guitar-pop track screaming for a lovely sing-a-long chorus, and Natalie dumps a stream-of-psychobabble dialogue over it all. That Day wasn't even representative of the album, with the other tracks being far more accessible and radio-friendly guitar-pop in the vein of Torn and Big Mistake. Barmy.
July 15, 201015 yr Beauty On The Fire sounds SO much better after not hearing it for a while. That Day remains amazing, imo! I even have the pretty CD single. <3 Edited July 15, 201015 yr by Casey_
