Posted May 29, 201015 yr As there is a weekly thread for year-to-date singles and albums, I thought I'd create one for airplay too. :) I've added together the weekly figures from the Top 100, to create a YTD total. It won't be 100% accurate, as once a song falls out of the Top 100, it's impossible to guess what it's audience might be. The number ones on the airplay chart so far this year have been: Joe McElderry - The Climb (1 week) Lady GaGa - Bad Romance (3 weeks) Owl City - Fireflies (4 weeks) Alicia Keys - Empire State Of Mind (Part II) (2 weeks) JLS - One Shot (1 week) Cheryl Cole - Parachute (2 weeks) Scouting For Girls - This Ain't A Love Song (5 weeks) Plan B - She Said (3 weeks) Here's the YTD Top 40. Like the weekly airplay charts, it's ranked in order of total audience. POSITION / LW POSITION / ARTIST / SONG / YTD AUDIENCE (MILLIONS) 1 (2) Alicia Keys - Empire State Of Mind (Part II) 829.3 2 (1) Owl City - Fireflies 817.8 3 (3) Lady GaGa - Bad Romance 718.8 4 (4) JLS - One Shot 638.3 5 (5) Scouting For Girls - This Ain't A Love Song 618.9 6 (6) Lady GaGa feat. Beyonce - Telephone 581.2 7 (7) Cheryl Cole - Parachute 531.7 8 (9) Pixie Lott - Cry Me Out 516.8 9 (10) Black Eyed Peas - Meet Me Halfway 510.6 10 (11) Rihanna - Rude Boy 509.9 11 (8) Iyaz - Replay 507.6 12 (14) Cheryl Cole - Fight For This Love 489.9 13 (13) 3OH!3 feat. May 29, 201015 yr Not at all surprised by the top 10! Especially Empire State of Mind, it's so overplayed, it's shocking! And what doesn't help, is that everybody considers it a different song to Jay-Z's version, so you often hear both song played, like half an hour apart or something. And Meet Me Halfway has climbed up one place!?! It is an absolutely amazing song, so I don't mind, but it's weird that it's overtaken the much more recent Rude Boy. Also, why is the OP post #2, the 2nd post #4 and my post #6? Edited May 29, 201015 yr by Eric_Blob

May 29, 201015 yr It hasn't overtaken Rude Boy, if you look they both overtook Iyaz as did Pixie Lott. Oh, that makes more sense. Yeah, I've actually barely heard Replay on the radio lately. I heard it all the time in December/January.
May 29, 201015 yr Interesting, thanks. Weird to see Morning Sun and 10/10 in there, considering neither even made the sales top 40.
May 29, 201015 yr Interesting... thanks for adding. Both Kings of Leon tracks still in there. I guess no-one told them they were released in *2008*... :P
