Cutaways split up

Haven't heard of them? Don't worry, not many people have.

Cutaways were a Belfast based synth-rock trio who were perhaps my favourite group on the local scene. They released an EP (Start. Stop. Start. Stop.) and a full album (Earth and Earthly Things) in their time, and never signed to a label, releasing all their material on their own label. Their last gig is tonight, and I'm disappointed that they never made a name for themselves. Hopefully they'll be one of those bands that will be discovered years down the line and receive belated recognition.

Lovers Are Lunatics: perhaps their greatest song, and shows off their philosophy of 'if we get bored during a song, just start a new one half way through.'
