July 24, 200915 yr Hope the album doesn't fall before Sunday. :( Gutted the single might land at #11 for the third time. :nocheer:
July 24, 200915 yr "No Parade" has a really strong chorus. The song has real potential. I still can't enjoy this album in full, but I hope it shows longevity as her attitude and personality are what music needs. And even if this album flops, I highly doubt she'll get dropped as her debut went platinum but she will have to come back hard next era.

I really can't see it flopping or her being dropped, really honestly can't! There's not one single track I dislike, some aren't the best in the world but I don't think there's a *bad* track on there
July 24, 200915 yr I brought it yesterday and I'm a little disappointed with the album. It's not bad by any means, and I'm glad I brought it as there are some really decent songs on it, but it's not as strong as I thought it'd be and quite a few of the tracks don't stand out too much. I hope it does well though!

I said I hope it shows longevity, but I'm not sure it will be able to as I don't think "S.O.S" is a song that will keep album sales stable. With regards to her being dropped, I agree with you, I don't think she will be - but if she wants to stick with her current label she will have to come back hard next era.
July 24, 200915 yr good to see her sales predictions are up, 60k+ is possible. They should have booked her in for Oprah or some big show in the states for early next week... Anyway in the UK, the album will most likley be top 10 (if sony get more copies into stores  ) and the single will probably be #11 again... just think, this single has been up and down, if it had of been released first off about 3 weeks ago, it probably would have been top 5 with all sales combined, dunno wot Sony were thinkin.
July 25, 200915 yr Jordin could have around 130,000 digital sales with the single this week in the UK. Despite it's just outside of the top 10 peak, it looks like it could sell around 250,000 altogether.
July 25, 200915 yr ^Exactly, it could easily have been a top 10 if they'd have relesead it as a sensible time. I think i tried saying that a few posts back but i dont think i made any sense.
July 25, 200915 yr Do you guys think SOS could do well in the UK? And is this still looking at a top 10 debut? Edited July 25, 200915 yr by Battlefield
July 25, 200915 yr our last midweeks were on Friday morning so we won't find out where either Battlefield (album) or Battlefield (single) has gone until about 6pm i should think.
July 25, 200915 yr Oh, and how much do you guys think this will sell in it's second week? I'm not very familiar with tracking sales in the UK, so I was just wondering if anyone had an estimate, considering the album is still top 10 on UK iTunes!

July 26, 200915 yr Not many people download albums you know :heehee: Sorry  I'm not familiar with the UK charts and sales information. You'll have to excuse me if I sound like an airhead. :kink:
July 26, 200915 yr Author UK second-week sales don't usually drop as harshly as in the US. I'm predicting 15k for this and perhaps 9k or so next week.
