and nobody is saying K'naan isnt in 2nd place.. geez. its just pointing out to the KYLIE fans that shes closing the gap between herself and #2!

Calm down, I was merely poitning out that those bars you posted are a bit misrepresentative as they don't show the full "Shout" bar. Not like she'd have a hope of #1 against Katy Perry anyway :D

i am calm, maybe you should take your own advice next time you quote me saying something is crap. dont really see how its misrepresentative, how many times do ppl need reminding that shout is miles ahead of the others? what i posted was for kylie fans as i stated twice in my post.

Looks like Kylie will be denied her 8th number one this week, anyway. Her physical release and download bundles release could help the single in 2 weeks time when the football songs may start to decline. Saying that, Kylie's sales should be pretty good for a no3 this week and its going to be her biggest seller since Can't get you out of my head.
Hopefully this'll make Robyn's airplay increase and more people will hear and buy it! :D

 

Well, on my local commercial radio stations, Robyn gets played about once an hour, so I don't really think her airplay actually could increase anymore (unless Heart playlist it too)!

 

But I suppose there's hundreds of other stations in the country that aren't playing the song, so I shan't whine. :D

Incidently, how is kylie and football songs doing on other websites? How much do itunes sales generally count towards total contributions?

i agree deffo her best seller since the fever era hopefully! shame about her being denied #1 but i think she will get it with another single off the album. i think aphrodite is going to be HUGE.

I heard iTunes contributes about 80% of the overall sales. I don't know if this is true though.

They weren't even contributing that much two years ago, before Amazon started!

 

IMO it is probably more like 60% nowadays.

Based on the latest pop bars,

 

SFE is outselling K'naan by 1.85-1, and Kylie by 2.4-1 :cry:
