Here’s what the band had to say on their official website, in a post entitled (insert Braveheart voice) “Freedom”: So the news is out! The Backstreet Boys are no longer signed to long time record label Jive Records. The amicable split is very exciting for the group. “This is the best thing, at the best time that could have ever happened for us”, says Brian Littrell. “We are confident in the future of our band, and are looking forward to the new things to come. 2011 is going to be a great year for us!” One new thing you can’t join them in, unless you’ve already been waitlisted? The Backstreet Boys cruise, slated to travel from Miami to Cozumel, Mexico from December 9-13; it’s all sold out. http://music-mix.ew.com/2010/05/28/backstr...ave-label-jive/ Edited June 12, 201015 yr by Dino-2pacalypse
June 12, 201015 yr Author I hope they sign with Interscope records because they're a really good label and they;ll promote them well and treat them fair too.
June 12, 201015 yr Author MEH. Nobody cares about them anymore, they're no longer relevant. Their fans still care and they cant still sell out arenas regardless of album sales.
June 12, 201015 yr I don't care for them but I think they're a band that could be relevant again with some awesome music. Good luck to them :)
June 12, 201015 yr I was never a huge fan of them but liked the odd song and even though im not a fan there is no denying these guys have talent and i think if they got a good record deal and worked with the right people they could have some proper success again.
June 13, 201015 yr I wonder what label they are going to sign on now. I know that Jive isn't the best label out there, so this could be a good move for them. I like their older stuff more (Backstreet Boys, Millennium, Black and Blue) After that, it kind of went downhill for me, although there are a few songs that I like. Kevin was my favorite member of the group and after he left, it kind of soured things for me as well. Edited June 13, 201015 yr by On Your Shore
