I think thats still good, considering it was not in the top 40 throughout the week.

I think they have a chance to carry on rising next week aswell. :)

Great news. Better than expected!

#40

last week sold around 5300k, and

#37

sold around 6k so i'm hoping that there's another increase this week and Headlines gets 6k.

I knew it would be Top 40, LOL up 27 places from #66 last week to #39. :D

album at 50 Nadine got 5500 thats usally enough for top 30

expect sats to get 7k

i think to climb from #66 to #39 is great considering the poor availability of the new edition (and the fact it is what it is!!!)

another 6k of sales is great too, every little helps!

they are only a place behind Kylie who performed on TXF so they should be pleased!

lets hope it can stay top 50 before xmas, six weeks of selling 6k would be another, um i dont know but it would help haha

Their sales for Headlines last week was around the 3k mark, and this week they've have a 50% Sales Increase which is brilliant. A #50 record (Nadine) sold around 5.5k!! That could mean Headlines has sold anything above 6k this week, more likely to be around the 6-7k mark. 6-7k would of got them Top 25 however a few weeks ago - a sign of the times that Christmas sales are now kicking in.

If it stays Top 40 next week, or gets another 5k+ next week, they will have sold 100k and Headlines will be :gold:

I felt so proud to be in your presence after reading that; well said LOL :P

I think the standard edition of 'Headlines!' is not being printed anymore; like what happened with the original 'Chasing Lights' a few years ago. Amazon are not selling it as of now and hmv seem to only have limited stock. Hopefully the price of the new 'Headlines!' will decrease to £5.99

Just Purchased

Ne-Yo 6.99

Saturdays Headlines x3 (xmas presntes all round) 6.99

Pixie Lott - Turn It Up 8.95 :)

'Headlines!' seems to be doing well on some online store charts.

hmm i wonder if we will get a midweek update with a climb in it?!

not really they will get over 3k sales this week, i think they will end up around 40 due to children in need :) and on sunday they have t4 which means higher should benefit as headlines.
I think they will get more around 5,000 this week; last weeks #47 sold 5,500 so they should hopefully get nearer to that as the sales margin decreases as the chart position decreases.

Sales are difficult to estimate at the moment, because of the Christmas market, as the chart positions are decreasing, but sales are increasing, which has already been said ^^. #55 got something like 4.9k last week, so 5k is pretty much in the bag.

The last lot of promo is coming up this week, which is Children In Need, and T4's Stars of 2010. Big promotion.

Big shows they may be, but do they really increase or even help sales?

Children In Need deffinately, T4 maybe not, but promo is promo at the end of the day. I'm not sure if it helped Forever Is Over when they perfored it on there last year, but at the end of the day it was a poor song, and the performance was pre-recorded and wasnt very imaginative so it wasn't like pepole were going to download it because it was a great performance, because it wasn't.

But, if they give a good performance it'll certainly help sales, yes :)
