July 11, 200618 yr So I just heard. Good news I reckon. Rooster are a strange band somewhere between Busted and "proper" indie. Who are they meant to appeal to? They're water wings indie - embarrassing, plastic and gawdy. erm dont think the term indie was ever mentioned. probably the pretty boy nickelback is more the area we are taking about (so still could be ugly f*ckers then )
July 11, 200618 yr Well a thread was made in THIS forum not so long ago about them and I moved it to the pop forum. I'm not suprised really as they were a Busted type band but yet thought they were Indie and their record company seemed to try and go for that market too which I don't understand WHY they thought that'd work  I also don't know why their latest single was playlisted as it has FLOP written all over it.
July 12, 200618 yr Author Well fair enough, I thought the pop fans would complain that they were too guitar-ish.
July 12, 200618 yr I thought they got dropped months ago. Have'nt heard anything by them in ages
July 12, 200618 yr New single is out this week, new album in 2 weeks! I'd have thought they wouldn't get dropped until the album had been released!
July 12, 200618 yr Author The album's release might just depend on the single's final placing. Apparently it's indefinitely delayed.
July 12, 200618 yr Why on earth would they be dropped the week before the single release? Surely their label aren't that stupid...
July 12, 200618 yr The single is flopping not surpised tbh - its extremely boring a mess and I cant seem to get into it. Been a fan of them since their first song and the first album isn't a masterpiece but its better than most I own  Theyve had their time and also Nick with short hair NO
July 12, 200618 yr The album's release might just depend on the single's final placing. Apparently it's indefinitely delayed. Well, we've had like 1000 copies of the album sitting at my work for the past few weeks! They've already got all the stock, so it would cost them a fortune to not release it! I'd still like to see some confirmation of this!
July 12, 200618 yr Their first 2 songs were pretty awful, but "You're So Right For Me" was something good! Shame, their new song is not that bad
July 12, 200618 yr Why on earth would they be dropped the week before the single release? Surely their label aren't that stupid... well as i read it i thought the record industry was getting as bad as the American (and ITV) TV Industry with their overnights. if the show doesnt do the expected business straight off its cancelled. also i thought they were having a new track to tie in with this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b7/Stormbreakerposter2.jpg
July 12, 200618 yr The books of those are great Like a young James Bond But why would they have a tie-in with that film, when they had a single released this week? Surely too soon
July 12, 200618 yr Im going have to disagree, they aint have bad.Sayin that i havnt exactly got good taste in music, im early 20's and i listen to morrissey!
July 12, 200618 yr The books of those are great Like a young James Bond But why would they have a tie-in with that film, when they had a single released this week? Surely too soon not the same single, different song. (then again it might be as useful as Just My Luck is to McFly)
July 12, 200618 yr Im going have to disagree, they aint have bad.Sayin that i havnt exactly got good taste in music, im early 20's and i listen to morrissey! But isn't Morrisey accalimed by the music buffs?
July 12, 200618 yr  But isn't Morrisey accalimed by the music buffs? Moz is like a demi-god to the indie press!!!
