August 17, 201014 yr The lyrics of alexandras songs are no worse than most other pop singers of late. When it's fun and dancey, it doesn't really need to make sense like a soft, slow, ballad does. Not that i am saying some people can't look to pop for meaningful lyrics but generally, they aren't greatly important. Girls aloud are a good example, loads of people love their tunes but the lyrics are just non-sensical most of the time.

Scene of six crimes, badboys and broken heels were awful lyrically too. Beat seems to be of upmost importance now, yes it is a big part but its not most significant in a quality song. This song is just awful and really shouldnt do well but with the promo it will be given should make top 10/top5. Sum up: terrible. agreed - but isn't the audience she's aiming for...umm... do you think they'd get a 'deep' lyric? I'm sure they'd struggle with the lyric to this one, which, let's be honest, appears to have been written by a backward chimpanzee. Dumb muzak for dumb people. Worst single of the year - by a mile.

It's all about the sounf, the productiuon, that's why Guetta is so popular but yet I don't see anything original or great about that kind of production. I guess untill it makes you move on the floor it's good. :(
August 18, 201014 yr I think someone should start a seperate thread for music lyrics as opposed to beats it is a relevant topic but not for this thread.If I am at home relaxing it would normally be a slower, soulful sound I enjoy.In the car, at the club during a concert I really do not pay attention to lyrics and just want to enjoy the beat and chill.It is all very well to say todays music has crap lyrics but older songs were not perfect.The lyrics to Its Raining Men, Body Talk, Aggadoo, Night Fever,I Wanna Sex You Up and Sure were hardly thought provoking and deep.
August 18, 201014 yr The lyrics don't have to be thought provoking and deep but they should at least be sensible and have some semblance of half-decent rhymes, which this song miserably fails. When the lyrics actually make you laugh you know you have a problem. I'm pretty sure "I'm coming up/put down your cup/don't make me start without you" will be near the top of every "awful lyrics" list years from now - if anyone even remembers it that is! Though the biggest problem with the song is not the lyrics, but the awful music which sounds like it was ripped from a cringey kids TV show. Anyway, I think this'll get something like #3. Linkin Park will sell on merit they are not aiming for the same market. The Script is a grower hit and will be around for ages. Mc Fly are has beens. This song and video should have been out weeks ago they have completely screwed up. Do we even know why the video was reshot? California Gurls is beginning to fall down the charts as it is a summer song and summer is coming to an end. This track is gonna be out the top 40 faster than you can say flop.

They are supposed to get people excited for the whole summer, by the time 5th september is here, the two big summer months will be over and so will alexandras career if she doesn't start to make better videos than this latest piece of poo.
