Like... I own all her CDs (Even the MTV Unplugged), but haven't actually listened to them. I've been told wonders about "Daydream" and "Music Box".. And of course, I've got the greatest hits on my iPod so I hear that regularly.

If I tell you that my favourite tracks from her are "Without You", "Can't Take That Away", "We Belong Together". "H.A.TE.U.", "Heartbreaker", "Fantasy", "My All", "I Still Believe", "Prisoner", "Visions Of Love" and "Don't Forget About Us"..

Whacha guys thinking?

"Butterfly" has been my favorite for a while now. "Daydream" saw her change direction slightly, but "Butterfly" was where she was freed, musically speaking. It was her first record that had real, noticable Hip Hop influences. It was her transitional album, which she has also claimed herself. No filler, and all songs blend nicely, even though there are many different sounds on the record from latin-R&B ("My All") to straight up mellow Hip Hop ("Breakdown"). I re-discovered "The Roof" a few weeks back, and holy $h!t, it's such a great, chilled Hip Hop soul track. One of my favourites of all time.

You may find "Music Box" more agreeable, but considering I know how you embrace Hip Hop, you should also like "Butterly"...

I really need to do the same as you Dan and get into her earlier stuff. I gave Rainbow a few spins a while back but didn't find much to get excited about, same with Glitter and Charmbracelet. I realise though they're three of her least-loved albums...

Her debut for me, followed by Emotions, Daydream, Music Box.

I wish Emotions would get re-issued on CD. I only have a vinyl copy of it.
