November 29, 201014 yr Eric Saade singing another song written by Fredrik Kempe? I'm more excited for that, as it will obviously be amazing, whereas RedOne may have done another 'Start Without You', but I hope not. A 'Bad Romance' or 'Poison' please :D
November 29, 201014 yr It certainly looks like Eric is the one to beat. Darin and Peter were the biggest names last year, but Eric Saade is very NOW and he's had a hugely successful year after Melodifestivalen last year. I can see Love Generation only reaching Andra Chansen or worse, crashing out at the heat. It has potential to be horrendous vocally, and let's face it, RedOne isn't going to put a "Bad Romance" into Melodifestivalen is he? It will probably be a spare song he's had sitting around. I'm inclined to feel the same way about Love Generation. The only thing on its side is the increased media hype that will surround the semi, but when they released their debut single, weren't there reports that the group were diabolical live? And girlbands don't traditionally do well in MF unless they bring something new to the table - e.g. Timoteij.

He's half-Swedish and has lived there for years, so I think he'll know how seriously it's all taken and send something good. *the voice of me living in eternal hope :(*

They've done some really good live performances - well, I SAY really good - they're just 'alright', but considering you'd expect them to be utterly dire...
December 6, 201014 yr As a "casual observer" I want to point out that either RedOne have been paid a lot or he'd send something Nicole Scherzinger would reject.

January 5, 201114 yr True. But still not exactly interesting and/or exciting in terms of fair competition. Probably the only thing i don't like about MF is how they decide the running order. :(
January 5, 201114 yr Author Let's play 'guess the Finalists/Andra Chansers just by looking at the draw/titles' :w00t: Bold = Direkt Til Globen, Italic = Andra Chansen Dilba - Try again Swingfly - Me and my drum Jenny Silver - Something in your eyes Jonas Matsson - On my own Le Kid - Oh my God Rasmus Viberg - Social butterfly Pernilla Andersson - Desperados Danny - In the club SEMIFINAL 2 - GÖTEBORG, 12 FEBRUARY Brolle - 7 days and 7 nights Loreen - My heart is refusing me Babsan - Ge mig en spanjor Elisabeth Andreassen - Vaken i en drom Sanna Nielsen - I'm in love The Moniker - Oh my God! January 5, 201114 yr Linda Sundblad not even AC? :o I think Love Generation could go AC, even though I reckon they'll come 2nd and DTG...
January 5, 201114 yr The winner takes it all! Dilba - Try again Swingfly - Me and my drum Jenny Silver - Something in your eyes Jonas Matsson - On my own Le Kid - Oh my God Rasmus Viberg - Social butterfly Pernilla Andersson - Desperados Danny - In the club Brolle - 7 days and 7 nights Loreen - My heart is refusing me Babsan - Ge mig en spanjor  OH SNALLA SNALLA. January 5, 201114 yr Author Linda Sundblad not even AC? :o I think Love Generation could go AC, even though I reckon they'll come 2nd and DTG... Maybe, but the pure pop that she and the likes of Sibel and Elin Lanto are known for usually comes 7th in the semis :( Love Generation's song had BETTER live up to the mass hype I've built for it in my head!
January 5, 201114 yr Author I doubt any of the webjokers will go through to the final tbh. On My Own was already catchy and well produced enough as it is to have a big impact imo, despite being a fairly simple song. I can only imagine that after its overhaul it will be a big contender to do well. I can't see Julia having the same sort of success though, I never thought the song was that special in the first place. I'm not saying that On My Own is 'special' but it's effective, and its simplicity is its charm. I've listened to it a lot since it won the webjoker competition.

I think this fact will have influence on results as well (not directly of course), plus she's in the strongest semi innit? However i believe we're yet to hear the final version so it may be amazing!

However i believe we're yet to hear the final version so it may be amazing! I'm not really following what you mean...why would the fact that she finished 2nd in the Webjoker help her prospects in the real semis? Surely Jonas has got by far the better chance to go through to the final having won the Webjoker and being in, as you say, what looks like an easier semi...

No, on the contrary, i think she has lesser chance to get through. The same with Jonas, only his chances are better. I guess I don't really believe in the power/advantage that winning Webjoker gives. But maybe i just judge by last year's results!
