July 18, 201014 yr Not as funny as they used to be but still good for a titter! http://www.thespoof.com/news/spoof.cfm?headline=s4i78946 Norma
July 19, 201014 yr MEN blog, Angela Epstein http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnew..._angela_epstein Norma I think the best thing to do is just post the articles and not make any comments.
July 20, 201014 yr Author I'm dead certain it will be their biggest album in their career. They'll probably sell about 2,5-3,5 million in the UK alone plus European sales of about 1-1,5 million. It will be huge......
July 20, 201014 yr Ya UK should be big sales, i can see around 2.5 million or more in total, the circus has managed over 2.1 million and beautiful world over 2.5 million so they stand a good chance of doing those amounts again if not more.
July 20, 201014 yr Pete ... this is the answer I've moved from the Rob forum (it isn't anything to do with Rob so I don't think we should clog up their forum with it) Actually ... I started to have misgivings about Gary long before the David Cameron thing. It was, funnily enough, after the Kilimanjaro event. I mean ... loads of people do stuff for charity but god almighty was a huge thing made of it (and following events). I think the cost of financing it (very generously by BT) must have stretched to almost as much as it made. It isn't as if they'd paid the costs out of their own pockets. And then one thing after another ... his name popping up 'raising money for this', 'raising money for that'. I mean ... didn't he see the irony in spending £50,000 on flying his mates back on the final leg of the journey ... to me it was just 'flashing the cash' to show off how wealthy he is ... when that 50 grand could have bought another 5,000 of the mosquito nets they were doing the challenge for. The subsequent coverage did as much to further the profiles of all involved as it did for Comic Relief. Then there was the Children In Need gig ... fair enough ... it was for charity but my did he make a big thing of it. I mean, in comparison, Robbie's Soccer Aid crept up on me almost unnoticed apart from one or two adverts. And then ... the penultimate thing ... the OK Magazine shoot. I remember an interview ages ago when he said he'd never do anything like that! Sure a contribution to Barnardo's was made ... but Gary had a frigging expensive party paid for and got his fizzog and his mates all over the press. Don't get me wrong ... yes he has done a lot for charity ... but my goodness doesn't he like people to know about it. So no ... it isn't his political persuasion I have much against ... it was his frigging smug face while he campaigned on behalf of Cameron. Great ... doing all that work for charity and then promoting a party that strives to make the rich richer and the poor poorer. Rant over. You're right however, the album will get to number one and I'm sure it will deserve it. Well it'll get there whether or not really won't it? Norma Edit ... having said all that ... I still have a great deal of affection for Howard, Jason and even Mark (although he was bloody daft with his affairs) I hope Mark's input on the new album is to the front as his songs on The Circus were probably the strongest. To me however ... I now look at Gary in much the same way as I did Rob ... I can see that they are both as highly arrogant as each other. Edited July 20, 201014 yr by Norma_Snockers
July 20, 201014 yr I think the difference between someone like myself and you Norma is the frills dont have an affect on me, with Take That and their solo careers its about the music and the music only for me, all the rest i do comment on etc but it doesnt affect what i think of the music. Personnely i feel every single pop star will do whatever they can to make money when the opportunity arises and they make hay while the sun shines. Gary above anyone would probably understand that more so as he went from one of the countries most loved stars to one of the most hated to becoming loved again. Gary knows how fickle the world of celebrity/pop star is and i guess this time he knows the band will probably come to an end sooner rather than later( personnely i hope later) and he will milk it for everything he can and rightly so as he will want nothing but the best for himself, dawn and the kids and at the end of the day all the millions he makes will benefit his kids now and more importantly later in life and i would do the same thing if it meant my kids would benefit from it. On the charity events i think alot of it came to the attention of people because the press had a huge interest in and were happy to talk about in the paers magazines every day so in that respect it wasnt all down to him, and the Kilimanjaro event above all got huge press coverage and not just gary but everyone that took part.

Gary above anyone would probably understand that more so as he went from one of the countries most loved stars to one of the most hated to becoming loved again. Maybe though, if music is important to him, he should concentrate a little more on it and less on trying to be loved. I'm sorry but The Circus for me was a bit of a disappointment compared to BW ... and I have to say ... the songs I like most on it sound like they have Mark's writing skills stamped all over them. If it was down to Gary ... I'm sure it would be an album of ballads and nothing else. I'm just realising that he can't do anything other than ballads. Even on the ballad front ... I was shocked at how bad the songs he'd written for other people this time round. I know you liked the Alesha Dixon song but Pete ... it was dreadful. The Barrowman song was awful too (but I did find out that that was one Gary had in his satchel of songs rather than being especially written for John.) The Shirley Bassey song was a fairly decent album track ... again a ballad. And his songs for Katherine Jenkins ... again ... seemed like they belonged in a West End Musical ... good, if a bit boring. The only song that I've liked that he's written for another person lately ... is Peter Kay's The Winner's Song. I do think that Rob can add something to the mix ... despite what I think of him ... his lyrics are a bit more 'stirring' than Gary's (when Rob is being witty and not self-pitying). I probably will buy the album if it is any good ... I'm sure I'll get a bit of an idea when we hear this song that they're doing for Rob's album. I won't be going to the concerts though. I don't want to be part of something that is just so cynically about money. Norma Edited July 20, 201014 yr by Norma_Snockers
July 20, 201014 yr Im gona do my best to get tickets to se ethem this time, a few of us at work were talking about going together as we think it will be an amazing show and they prob wont tour again or if they do it will be a very long time. As for the circus i love the album and rate it far above beautiful world but that a split decisio among fans on the whole, for me the circus had more life and back bone to it although beautiful world is also a great album. I agree Gary is only good at writing ballads but i suppose he is aswell to stick with what he does best, i did love the alesha dixon song but i didnt like the john barrowman one, its good that all the osgs arent garys though on the album but i think that is what has made take that so special this time round as the songs are coming from a few people which varies the style and sound which is something the i think the circus hugely reflected. For me the circus is the best studio album they have done yet, its consistant and ticks all the boxes for me, although on the whole beautiful world as a package did produce stronger single apart from the dull id wait for life which i feel should have never been a single.

I think you should do Pete. No matter what I've thought lately ... I haven't regretted one single penny I've spent on seeing them ... and I'm glad I discovered Take That (Mk2). If the next tour is a quarter as good as The Circus Tour was ... it'll be money well spent. But I think I've seen them at their best so for me I'm done with the TT concerts ... I'm probably not done with the records yet ... but we'll see what they're like. Norma
July 20, 201014 yr Ya you have seen them a good but and you got to see some fantastic shows so its kinda been there done that got the t shirt, i have yet to see them so this could be a good chance for me.
July 23, 201014 yr It was in the Metro that Take That WILL be doing another 'Audience with ....' Norma

July 24, 201014 yr It'd be great to see them say goodbye with a number 1 album (even though I'm certain they could have done it with four). A fitting ending to a greatly entertaining (if not groundbreaking) entertainment phenomenon. Norma
July 25, 201014 yr Either way i think they will finish on a number 1 album i think as we will surely get a new greatest hots package.
August 5, 201014 yr Author According to a Danish newspaper TT are booked for a stadium gig (Parken) in Denmark. Looks like it will be a huge UK/Ireland European tour including (my guess) several stadium gigs in Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Denmark, France.
