Posted July 12, 201015 yr Eninem targeting chart-topping Recovery 10:52 | Tuesday July 13, 2010 By Paul Williams Source: MW Singles It is too close to call at the top of the singles chart, where just 227 sales separate the top two. Ahead currently is the Atlantic-issued Airplanes by B.O.B. featuring Hayley Williams. This dropped a place to three on last Sunday’s chart but is now aiming to give the US rapper two number ones out of two releases, after Nothin’ On You spent a week at the top in May. Narrowly behind is Columbia’s Mark Ronson & The Business Int with the newly-issued Bang Bang Bang. Ronson previously reached number two on the chart in October 2007 with his cover of The Zutons’ Valerie with Amy Winehouse. Virgin’s Professor Green, meanwhile, is looking to score back-to-back top-five singles with his Lily Allen pairing Just be Good To Green ranked five at this point in the week. Above it at three is Polydor’s Love The Way You Lie by Eminem featuring Rihanna and AATW/Sweat It Out’s We No Speak Americano by Yolanda Be Cool Vs D Cup, while Epic act JLS’s The Club Is Alive, which debuted at one last Sunday, is down in seventh place. Albums Eminem looks poised to reclaim his albums chart-topping crown from Kylie Minogue in a week in which 10 brand new releases could enter the Top 40. The Interscope/Polydor-issued Recovery, which was replaced at the top after two weeks last Sunday by Minogue’s Aphrodite, has opened up an early sales lead this week of around 3,000 units, according to OCC data. Just behind Minogue is fellow Parlophone artist Eliza Doolittle, whose self-titled debut set is one of four newly-issued albums occupying Top 10 positions at this stage of the week, while there are a further six between positions 11 and 40. Doolittle’s album sits at three presently, around 1,000 sales ahead of Island act Bombay Bicycle Club’s new album Flaws at four, while Fiction/Polydor act Tired Pony’s The Place We Ran From is ranked ninth and Korn’s Roadrunner-issued Korn 3 – Remember Who You Are is 10th. Lower down, the Top 40 this Sunday should welcome new entries from Deltasonic’s Coral, XL’s MIA, a Parlophone pairing of Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse, Live Forever’s Young Guns, Universal’s Lucinda Belle Orchestra and Atlantic’s Janelle Monae. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Top 40 Only Singles 1 BOB ft. July 13, 201015 yr Can't wait to see where JLS are  And hope Kylie is still at #1 Edited July 13, 201015 yr by MTV79
July 13, 201015 yr iTunes isn't the be end all, I think Katie Price will be #70 in midweeks because she has no physicals and I can't see it selling much on other download shops. But I'm sure I'll be terribly disappointed and it's actually way higher.
July 13, 201015 yr Some info coming in... JLS down to #7 apparently :o Kylie slipped to #2 Edited July 13, 201015 yr by Dannyyyy
July 13, 201015 yr MW Report added and positions filled in where information has been provided - still waiting for Top 40 update for both charts though.
July 13, 201015 yr Surprised to see Eminem back at the top with quite a lead. Edited July 13, 201015 yr by truly talented
July 13, 201015 yr Katy Perry fell to #6 then? :o Wow, She's going 2-6. It's still better than JLS going 1-7.
July 13, 201015 yr Katy's sales are still going to be high this week - in fact, I reckon its quite close between 1-7 actually.
July 13, 201015 yr Thought Professor Green would easily be Top 3, quite surprised at that. I wonder if he can climb by Sunday?
July 13, 201015 yr Author LOL at JLS, hope it falls out of the top 10 Never expected Mark Ronson to do so well, at least its ahead of that awful Prof. Green track.
July 13, 201015 yr That Ronson song sounds like a Gorillaz track. Shame they are not doing well single-wise anymore :( Edited July 13, 201015 yr by Tactical
