Based on the first listenings which album had a bigger impact on you and why?

This is hard but I have to go with Aphrodite. It's so atmospheric.

I was expecting to say X but I just cant find a fault with Aphrodite. So my vote goes to Aphrodite.

If I were to vote as an overall album, I'd say Aphrodite, even though X has 'In My Arms', 'The One' and 'Like A Drug'.

At the moment, I still prefer X. But that may change in time..

I prefer Aphrodite but when it was released X had a much bigger impact on me.

I do think Aphrodite misses a real stand-out track like In My Arms or Like A Drug for example.

I think it has a few, Cupid Boy kinds reminds me of Like A Drug

Aphrodite by far. People say it's missing a standout song but certainly All The Lovers is better than even the highlights on X and it's SO much more consistent.

Aphrodite by far, I personally wasn't a huge fan of either In My Arms or Like A Drug which seem to be regarded as the 'big tracks' of X whereas All The Lovers and Get Outta My Way are already two of my all time favourites of hers. I even prefer Aphrodite, Better Than Today and Too Much to the X highlights too (apart from Wow) so I don't get the criticism that it doesn't have a standout track, nearly everything stands out for me.

Aphrodite is by far, a much superior album anyday than in comparison to X. Its much more consistent and is packed with potential singles material, unlike X which has a couple of really good songs and the rest are dull in comparison to Kylie's usual material.

I agree. It wasnt a great singles choice. In fact, none of the singles were on X.

I can see why they released the songs that they did, but they were way off :lol:

'In My Arms' is my second favourite Kylie song ever behind 'On A Night Like This'. :heart: Nothing short of sensational.

'No More Rain' is perfectly alright though one of the lesser tracks on there, 'Cosmic' has awful lyrics.

NMR is pure heaven, i adore it. Cosmic has nice vocals...

I voted X, although i have to say as an album on the whole aphrodite is a far stronger album, but when i first heard X the one, wow and like a drug just hit me and i adored them they just stood out a mile and i couoldnt stop listening to them. In my arms was average to me when i heard X, although in my arms i now love but only the live version, the tour really brought in my arms alive for me.

 

Aphrodite is a great album but i have to say there isnt any one particular song screaming out as single for me.
