July 21, 200618 yr Merry Christmas, Mimi, Music Box, Butterfly, Daydream would make up my top 5. They're all excellent records and my most-loved albums by any artist. The Mariah albums I think are great (and/or excellent in parts) are Mariah Carey, MTV Unplugged, Rainbow and Glitter. I used to like Charmbracelet but I can't listen to it now. And I've always thought that Emotions was awful.
July 22, 200618 yr My Top5 are (in no particular order) The Emancipation Of Mimi, Butterfly, Mariah Carey, Glitter and Daydream.
July 25, 200618 yr Author Rather diverse opinions on the track Vanishing. That other haunting track you refer to is similar not just in the fact that it is a haunting ballad, they both contain words with a similar meaning in their titles. :) Anymore reviews/comments on this album? If you don't have the album, the link to the video for Vision Of Love is in the first post.

March 28, 200718 yr Author http://image.allmusic.com/00/amg/cov200/drd800/d840/d84094t06hp.jpg Mariah Carey (May 1990) 3.5 Stars Review by Ashley S. Battel This extremely impressive debut is replete with smooth-sounding ballads and uplifting dance/R&B cuts. Carey convincingly seizes many opportunities to display her incredible vocal range on such memorable tracks as the popular "Vision of Love" (featured during her television debut on The Arsenio Hall Show, an appearance noted by many as her formal introduction to stardom), the energetic "Someday," and the moody sounds of the hidden treasure "Vanishing." With this collection of songs acting as a springboard for future successes, Carey establishes a strong standard of comparison for other breakthrough artists of this genre. Anymore reviews/comparisons with this professional review? :D
March 28, 200718 yr Mimi, Music Box, Daydream, Glitter and Charmbracelet are my favourite albums by Mariah Rainbow, Butterfly, MTV Unplugged I think are mostly great but are let down by a few tracks (Bliss, from Rainbow, is one of my all time MC songs) Emotions, Mariah Carey, Merry Christmas, The Remixes are all mediocre albums I think, I do still like them and in places some of them are as great as my favourites, just some stuff really let them down :(
