#20 Janelle Monaé - The ArchAndroid

Is this really as good as people say?

Because she's on Diddy's label :P

Must check it out perhaps..

I didn't get the fuss with her then I saw Many Moons and I gave her stuff a listen, it's really OutKast-esque I thought.

GURL NO I love that bitch. She's like Ke$ha (or what Ke$ha wants to be) but literate and a bit more sober and a heeeeell of a lot better. What's not to like? :arrr:

LOL that smiley

sorry but she has such a god awful personality/persona that it's just a vomit inducing album, she admits she has literally NO talent on a few of the songs and it's just like :S how can anyone like it. i think the fact that ke$ha 'jocked her style' is proof enough that she's bad LOL, i don't really think ke$ha has high quality inspirations

plus that album was like 5 years late lol, pop the glock is so 2005

I like it, it comes in Diesel denim.

And yes, that really is the main reason I bought it.

I know that Ke$ha definitely doesn't set the bar for credibility but considering her songs are so damn catchy and ooze appeal, I feel that's what Uffie wanted to achieve and she does it with a more stylish output (well production wise at least). I really don't know, she goes against everything I believe in in a person but there's something enchanting about her bratty arrogance and honesty, plus her voice still echoes that innocence she had when she was the flavour of the month. It's gonna be love/hate, much like Ke$ha and I'm just one of these that don't mind forgetting that this album was probably suited to 2007.

Any more suggestions please. I have two months to compile my Top 50 Singles of the year and I feel I have missed out on most of the good stuff this year.

YES, It's amazing. It's a small revolution in music. It's so many different genres, it's so many different influences. It's raw, it's sexy, it's lovely, it's amazing.

The album has an incredible flow, and all numbers are enjoyable, you don't have to skip.
