Posted July 18, 201015 yr Take That to headline Glastonbury? Sunday, July 18 2010, 10:22 BST By Colin Daniels Source: digitalspy Take That are in talks to headline next summer's Glastonbury festival, according to reports. The band, who recently confirmed that fifth member Robbie Williams was rejoining them, are allegedly being lined up to play on the Saturday night. A source told the News of the World: "There's a lot of logistics to sort out but both sides are desperate to make this happen." The source also discussed their tour plans, saying: "We're preparing to increase the tour to a scale never seen before. We think there will be more dates than Michael Jackson would have played. "People are talking about the lads being seen by 50 million plus people worldwide which would smash all known records for audience numbers." The report suggests that Take That will be joined by U2, headlining on the Friday, and Radiohead on the Sunday.
July 18, 201015 yr Methinks they'd get laughed off the Pyramid ... with or without Robbie. That last bit was silly actually as if it wasn't for Rob (who proved a hit there on his own in the past) ... I doubt the organisers would be queuing up to get them signed up. Norma Edited July 18, 201015 yr by Norma_Snockers
July 18, 201015 yr I disagree i think take that would go down a storm with or without robbie, as much as the reunion etc has pissed you off norma there is no denying how well accepted take that have become since their return,
July 19, 201015 yr I disagree i think take that would go down a storm with or without robbie, as much as the reunion etc has pissed you off norma there is no denying how well accepted take that have become since their return, They have been well accepted since the return. And I shall continue to admire the stuff they've done circa 2006 - 2009 but I'll have no real interest in what they do from now on. You may be right about Glastonbury ... it has been dumbed down moved on since the days of old when it was a Folk / Rock festival ... it is a very chavish affair lately so they may do OK. I still doubt the organisers would invite them though if Rob's name wasn't in the contract. Besides ... it can't happen ... it will be whilst they're in the middle of a tour.
