Was this ever released in the uk and if so what chart position did it reach? I can't find it in the Guiness Book Of British Hit singles anywhere.

Nope, it was never officialy released anywhere. The singles were printed in america and shipped, but then at the last possible second, the whole single was cancelled. This meant the single was given as a free gift in shops etc for buying things, meaning it couldnt chart on sales in the US, it only charted on airplay. I believe that's true :D

Sounds right to me.

 

Yet they still put it on the Greatest Hits album which makes one think it was, well, a hit.

Perhaps they included it because it wasn't on a studio album?

Not sure! But it was released in a few places in Asia I think, and a few places in the EU, but I'm not a fan of the song myself, and it's a cover :o! Maybe she put it on the Greatest Hits out of loyalty to JD cause she was featuring in his song for once? Not sure lol

It charted on airplay only though in America because the single was released, but on the LAST SECOND (the shops allready had the singles stocked) the single was cancelled as a physical sale... so the singles were then given out free in american shops as they weren't elligable for sale... so they didn't chart with sales :(
