I don't think it will bomb, but it may lose part of it's lead. "Today Was A Fairytale" had a massive lead, and that was for a soundtrack, and a bit boring imo. "Mine" is amazing, and lead single from her next album. It wouldn't surprise me if it debuted at #1 on the Hot 100, but I can't quite remember what day of the week they start tracking sales, is this the wrong day for release if they wanted a #1 debut? :unsure:

Sales are tracked Monday-Sunday (despite most songs going onto iTunes on Tuesday) so it's lost three days of the week - it won't be #1 this week, and probably not next week since it won't have much airplay at that point and sales aren't likely to be massive enough to get to #1 without it.

''Today Was A Fairytale'' was only a song on a soundtrack and was #1 for 5 days in January.

There's no telling if ''Mine'' could do more/less than this (perhaps more if it's lead to a highly anticipated album).

 

A shame it's release was forced midweek due to it leaking. It might be another #2 :lol:.

Taylor will need to sell more than 450k this week to go to #1 on the Hot 100.

 

Last week, Eminem/Rihanna sold ~300k and airplay was ~134 million impressions. Sales for Em/Ri will probably be the same this week and airplay is still increasing.

The US had a very good cover for "Fearless", but then the UK got something that wasn't too great :(
