I agree with you , I dont care if im in the minority its definitely up there as 1 of if not my favourite of her releases in the last few years, but then again I have always been the biggest supporter of Debut on here anyway

Honestly this is my favourite Taylor single since the 1989 era. I'm still addicted to it, it's just so gorgeous to listen to. It has such a fragility and nostalgia to it that chimed so beautifully with the film.

Not really suprising its being more stable and doing better in the US where country is more popular

'The Life of a Showgirl' may have already chatted, but it wasn't an official single. Plus, based on your criteria, it wasn't a single either (it wasn't sent to radio, didn't have a music video, wasn't playlisted in the major playlists like the actual singles). So I would say that has earned it's place above anything else! I personally don't love it, but I'd say 'Wi$h Li$t' out of the above options has the most potential as a single!

Father Figure

Actually Romantic for sure - it’s catchy, radio friendly, I can imagine such a crazy fun video to it and the last similarly provocative single she released was 7 years ago (You Need To Calm Down), the time was right. I have grown to love Elizabeth Taylor but this really should have got the single treatment instead, although if the video was as lazy I’d have been annoyed.

I think Father Figure would have smashed as a single & the music video could have been absolutely incredible with an actual storyline e.g. 1960's gangster vibes

Went with actually romantic, but would also of loved father figure to get a moment
