not sure how to respond to this, as everyone here knows my views already.. im all for him being arrested, the catholic church has overseen some appaling abuse especially to children over the years. only yesterday on tv there was a campaigne group of former childrens home kids demanding an apology and recognition for the vile physical abuse they suffered in catholic run childrens homes... often acts committed by NUNS!, like being made to bathe in jeyes fluid!!!!! imagine the pain it could have caused to kids delicate areas, let alone ordinary skin.

I bet Maxine Carr's feeling jealous -_-.

It just seems wrong to me (and pretty much everyone, I guess) that the church STILL isn't held accountable for anything!

This is good news as I don't think the Pope should be arrested at all. Yes, priests and even nuns may have abused kids but The Pope in Rome isn't responsible is he? Ludicrous to suggest HE himself should be arrested even if the Church covered things up. Just my opinion though.

he is head of the catholic church, its his responsibility to ensure abuse doesnt happen. the buck stops there, at the top.

Razinger as a Cardinal was one of the Vatican's "Enforcers".. He actually was responsible for covering up some serious abuse cases... He SHOULD be arrested frankly.... <_<

Indeed Rob, the buck stops with the man at the top.. Supposedly...

LOL, yeah, so either "God" thinks it's okay for Priests to molest little kids, or, well, maybe he's just not "up" there......

On a side note, when me and my mates (the "Goth" contingent) were on the Pride march a few weeks back, we saw a whole load of "Christians" shouting abuse at gay people, waving their bloody "Leviticus" signs and "AIDS is God's Punishment to Gays" signs... Frankly, it pissed me off and I shouted back "Why dont you lot fukk off to the Vatican and protest Priests raping little kids...". Well, why dont they...? The Pope's coming on his "state visit" do you suppose any of these c/unts will be waving banners with "Vatican Paedos Rot in Hell" written on them...? Bloody right they wont, because they're fukkin' hypocrites, if anyone does wave signs like this it'll likely be us "Heathens" who are sick to death of the hypocrisy of the Catholic Church..... <_<

Just when I thought that Catholic priests couldn't get more f***ed up along comes this imbecile  As he is Austrian he must have been chosen by the nazi who resides in the vatican

Salzburg - An Austrian bishop describes the techno festival that led to 21 deaths and 500 injuries as a sinful event and indirectly links the deaths to God's punishment.

Salzburg's Roman Catholic bishop, Andreas, Laun says that the Love Parade and participation in it is "a rebellion against creation and against God's order, are sins and an invitation to sin!"

Writing on the German-language website Kath.net, Laun warns against judging the dead and saying their death was God's punishment.

At the same time, he indirectly links the deaths to God's right to punish apostates - those who turn their back on the true faith.

The tragedy occurred July 24, when crowds of people streaming into the festival in the German city of Duisburg surged through a jammed entry tunnel.

Can't we all just club in and bring Mehmet Ali Agca out of retirement ?

Far better than arresting the pope would be a bullet in between his eyes

No, because:

a) he's converted to Catholicism, so I doubt he'd be interested.

B) if history has taught us anything, it's not to make martyrs out of Christians.

c) only a sick individual would welcome such cold blooded murder.

Okay, so, once and for all, can we all just accept the fact that Fanatical Christians are just as loopy and dangerous as Fanatical Islamists......
