July 28, 201014 yr Hilarious? :heehee: Surely you mean just plain shit  Well, yeah....
July 28, 201014 yr I'd agree with that.. I dont buy that the Saw films are more successful.. Freddie, Jason, Halloween, etc were absolute phenomenons in the 70s and 80s, on a MASSIVE scale with seriously obsessive fans... The Saw films don't come close to matching that sort of fan worship.... I simply don't buy the figures either tbh and would very much doubt they are adjusted according to inflation.... Right, I've had a quick squint at the figures on Box Office Mojo for Saw vs Nightmare and this list is absolute rubbish. The Saw total comes from adding up all of the worldwide totals, which is fair enough. However, that total for Nightmare on Elm Street comes from adding all the US totals, plus the worldwide totals for Freddy vs Jason and the remake. There aren't any worldwide totals for the other films in the series, so it's as if they've just disregarded them altogether. And the list is definitely not inflation adjusted, so it really is completely irrelevant. That award they've been given is meaningless. So I reckon the totals for Nightmare, Halloween and Friday can easily be bolstered by another couple of hundred million dollars each, at least. But they haven't factored so many other horror series into this, which is just bizarre. Even The Exorcist made $450 million worldwide back in 1973, and you can at least double that to adjust for inflation. All the sequels made tiny amounts of money, but when you adjust it all and add it up, it eclipses the Saw total. I just can't get my head around who made this list up, and just how inconsistent it is. Edited July 28, 201014 yr by PaulM1983

I've got a pretty good idea who may made this list up tbh, the Saw marketing team in disguise or a bunch of Internet Saw fanboys.....
July 29, 201014 yr So, in other words, this is all just a wildly inaccurate crock of sh!t.... Exactly. What a collosal bunch of lies.
July 30, 201014 yr Exactly. What a collosal bunch of lies. I'm frankly amazed the Guiness Book of World Records is falling for it.... Shows what low standards they have in the fact-checking these days..... Norris McWhirter and Roy Castle must be spinning in their graves right now..... -_-
December 15, 201014 yr Ya, i agree with you.... Saw is the most successful horror movie... Really, more successful than the "Freddie", "Jason" or "Halloween" franchises.....? Rubbish... Factor in the rates of inflation before you spout nonsense in future please....
December 15, 201014 yr Ya, i agree with you.... Saw is the most successful horror movie... Well, in one short sentence, you managed to completely contradict yourself, and make a statement that is just incorrect. If you agree with what was said, you're agreeing that Saw is nowhere near the top of the list in terms of financial success, which makes your second statement a bit confusing (aside from the fact that it's not true).
December 15, 201014 yr the first one is one of my all time favourite films just for that wicked ending but they've just got more and more complicated as they've gone on. like you have to know certain things to understand others and after a year since you've watched the last one you forget a load of the people and references that they're going on about which just leaves me really confused. i do kinda love the whole traps thing though but it does creep me out thinking of what i'd do in their situations..
December 16, 201014 yr I did enjoy the first Saw (although looking back at it now, the acting was awful) and there have been some clever moments in some of the sequels. However, the storyline got so ridiculous I lost interest. Saw 3D is the worst one of the whole series in my opinion. What an awful mess of a movie.
December 16, 201014 yr Saw 3D is the worst one of the whole series in my opinion. What an awful mess of a movie. I've not even bothered with it tbh... Might download it....
December 16, 201014 yr It's not quite shocking. I mean the movie is quite gripping. Off Topic: Saw: The Ride is like the best ride ever.
December 19, 201014 yr Dunno if I agree. Scream is much better. The Saw films sort of all blur into one for me. I watch them, enjoy them but once ya get over the gore they are just average...
December 19, 201014 yr I've only seen Saws 2, 3 and 4 oddly  3 is very good although the brain scene is a bit unnecessary. 2 is probably my favourite, 4 had a good ending and some good traps but it marked the point when it just became a series for old fans really.
December 20, 201014 yr I was excited for new movie Saw 7,But when i saw this 3d flick, it disheartened me. Saw series is the best movies except Saw 7. Edited December 20, 201014 yr by kyne
