July 26, 201014 yr iTunes and iTunes. Although I'm now in the process of moving to whichever is cheaper for the former.

July 26, 201014 yr I use iTunes, Amazon, 7Digital and very occasionally buy physicals...iTunes quite clearly give the best indicator of overall sales as the iTunes chart practically controls and therefore mirrors the officials.

How much do you think the market share of singles, that iTunes hold is? I think about 85%
July 26, 201014 yr How much do you think the market share of singles, that iTunes hold is? I think about 85% 70% of market share, I'd guess. I don't think other sites have that much of a significant impact.
July 26, 201014 yr Anyone who uses iTunes for widely available music is getting royally screwed. More expensive, lower quality and a restrictive file format. I can't fathom why people use it so much.
July 26, 201014 yr Amazon mostly (average cost of single track download is "usually" 69p - but now more like 89p, compared with iTunes' 99p), but I have bought from iTunes, 7Digital and ALL albums I will buy physically - do not see the point of download albums at all. I'm guessing the price will rise again sadly on 4 January 2011 when VAT goes up to 20% -_- Anyway, iTunes clearly gives the best indication of popularity, I would say its at least 65-70% market share.
