5. Jason DeRülo - What If (6) (CR-43-OUT-42-34-21-9-6-5) - the video really made this for me as it was just ok before but i love it now.

7. Kylie Minogue - Get Outta My Way (4) (CR-3-2-4-4-7) - my second fave from the brilliant album behind Can't Beat The Feeling, i hope it becomes a big hit for her.

8. Katy Perry - Teenage Dream (30) (CR-30-8) - love this but i'm not too sure if i prefer it over CaliGurls just yet but I can see it growing a lot especially when the vid comes out.

10. The Saturdays - Missing You (12) (CR-32-26-17-12-10) - A nice single but they really should have gone for Higher IMO, hopefully it's the second single and both can help sell the EP.

30. Yes I remember you saying that the other week and I agree. It does have a 'Doesn't Mean Anything' vibe to it.

39/40. I thought it'd be one of those tracks that Radio 1 would love to death, but actually get nowhere. I'm pleased it went top 10 as fast as it did though as I probably wouldn't have checked it out otherwise! :lol: It's amazing on a night out though. I heard it on Friday and it was mental! :lol:

 

8. I guess you're right, although the latter definitely feels more edgy and serious. Yeah Ke$ha's a dirty Katy copycat :kink:

3. Indeed, I thought that 8 was a tragic peak for one of my top 20 songs of the year, plus I've been listening to it loads recently!

03 - Fair enough, it's always awful to look back on favourite songs to find they peaked ridiculously low. I remember in 2008, my end of year chart had a song that peaked at number 44 :lol: I do really love that song now and grew to like it months after it had left my chart. I should have re-entered it :\

10 - :lol:, it wasn't as bad as the performance of The Loving Kind, but it certainly won't have helped them get any sales :kink:

Luckily I don't have too many...mostly ballads I think that took ages to grow, like Cyndi's I'll Leave My Heart which somehow only peaked at #21 for me :( and then there are older songs that I never liked much at the time but do now but until 2004 I only had a top five, so that doesn't bother me as much as most of them I still don't like enough for them to have gone top five anyway...The highest a song in my end of year top 40 with the lowest weekly peak was Kelly Clarkson's Beautiful Disaster which peaked at #7 for me in 2005 and finished 27th in my end of year chart because it hung around for an absolute age :o

I'm rather surprised that boybands are in vogue again to be honest, remember Avenue two years ago (which featured a couple of members of The Wanted). I really liked their song Last Goodbye, but it completely flopped, not even top 75 I don't think :lol: JLS really opened doors again for young (not just 90's revival) boybands.

37. I love a few of their songs - Love On My Mind, Uninvited...but mostly I like their remixes, which have been known to turn crap songs into great ones (I'm mainly thinking of Beyonce here :lol:).

35. 2009 was excellent, my top 15 of the year were all absolutely amazing. So far this year I'd only say my top 5 have been as good. So projecting that considering we have 5 months left of the year, there may only be 8 or 9 truly brilliant songs, a massive dip from last year unless it improves dramatically :( The number ones have mostly been pretty dire. When the best was an average GaGa single you know you're in trouble :lol:

37 - Beautiful Liar was good in it's original form and remix, but I wasn't keen on the original versions of all her other singles from that era.
