Its not really that scary, although i admit it does look it from the trailer. it just makes you think, and the twist at the end is awesome.

I suck at doing research btw, maybe i should just give up now

There are two stories about a village on the Norfolk Broads called Potter Heigham.

Both taken from the Guide to the Parish Church of Potter Heigham.

In the winter before the battle of Wateloo a drummer boy, home on leave, fell in love with a girl from Potter Heigham. Her father refused to allow the match and the couple were forced to meet in secret at Swim Coots on the Heigham side of Hickling Broad. The drummer boy would skate across the ice covered broad to meet his love until one evening in February the ice gave way and he was drowned. It is said that about 7pm on a misty February evening a drum roll can be heard across Hickling Broad, followed by the phantom skater still trying to keep his tryst with his long lost sweetheart.
The bridge is also said to be haunted. An eligible bachelor of Bastwick just over the river, was ensnared into marriage by a love philtre and when the wedding to Evelyn, daughter of Lady Carew, took place on 31st May 1742, the bishop and his retinue turned into skeletons and carried off the bride. As their coach, driven by a skeleton dressed in bishop's robes, crossed Potter Heigham bridge it struck the stonework and plummeted into the river. The clatter of hooves can still be heard (so they say!).

There is another one as indicated up in North Norfolk somewhere, need to hunt for the details of that one though.
