August 4, 201014 yr Ya it definitly has done in its first 4 weeks of chart life, now we just need aphrodite to beat X sales in total.
August 4, 201014 yr Hardly surprising really...aphrodite is a masterpiece compared to X which is dull.
August 4, 201014 yr I think comparisons like this are slightly redundant. X was released during one of the busiest times of the year rather than this year's summer lull. And whilst Aphrodite is holding strong, it has yet to match the sales of X. (This isn't an X vs. Aprhodite BTW. Aphrodite is a far superior album) At the end of the day, it all comes down to sales. How long it remains in the chart is kind of irrelevant if it's not shifting enough copies.
August 4, 201014 yr It's got off to a very strong start saleswise, all they need to do is keep the sales ticking over in the busy period of the year later on with the singles and it'll be great.
August 4, 201014 yr Author This topic is just an indication on how both albums started (looking at peaks and runs, not sales). And shouldn't be taken too seriously ;) And yes, we'll have to wait if Aphrodite match or pass X sales. Aphro is currently at 311.0000 while X sold around 1 m. Still, signs for Aphrodite are looking quite alright! Will depend on future releases and the right promo!
August 5, 201014 yr I am still kinda surprised that X managed to sell even less than Body Language (1.3m)...
August 6, 201014 yr With aphrodite on 311,000 already on the basis of 1 single it will definitly outsell x's 1 million total sales.
