yes, but again it was a band that had a massive debut with 4 top 40 hits including 2 top 10s I believe

the debut album sold nearly 1,2 million (nearly 4x Platinum)

by comparison the 2nd album had 1 mini-hit and just sold 100K

This is the genre forum, most especially the indie forum. Not the chart forum. Chart sales and wider popularity do not matter here, song quality and personal interest does.

This was a far more interesting album than their higher selling first one, so it's better. Can't speak for the Fratellis albums but it's possible that's also the case.

*anyway* this is all the new stuff on the Extended Edition - vinyl release is on October 15th!

This album sure kinda takes me back. Most of the first 10 tracks still sound nice. The delivery and wittiness in many of the lyrics is just overlooked.

'Techno Fan' feels a tad dated now though and I'm still not a big fan of roaring/boring/shouting 'Tokyo (Vampires & Wolves)' (well, particularly the chorus).

I really loved this album, Tokyo, Techno Fan and 1996 are definitely the biggest highlights. I never really listened to the stiff that followed this album though.

The extended edition has been on iTunes for years now! Didn’t realise it wasn’t on streaming services.
