Realy very close in the top 3, so if the love the way you lie video really makes an impact today & saturday who knows they could get #1, but more likely next week for them. However look as JLS and the Wanted - both slipped on itunes midweek and still remained at the top on Sunday - so could happen again here... however both sold way way more than the Sats at this point Both JLS and The Wanted had reached number 1 on Itunes though for the first few days with a significant lead
August 13, 201015 yr The problem with The Saturdays is that they've not mentioned that their album is dropping next week. We all know album sales are the most important. I can see Headlines going down the same route as Wordshaker. They had tons of promotion for Wordshaker yet it sold a disappointing amount. They NEED to stop going on about Missing You and maybe start mentioning Headlines alot more..

What would be hilarious is if the single that they have hyped up and forced everyone to buy fails to reach #1 but the album that they have sort of neglected (in the sense that their attention is on MY) hits number one! :lol: It's actually possible since album sales are dire in this time period and after the Wordshaker flop, their fans might multi-buy the album.

Haha. They are selling the album on the success of Ego really. I doubt anybody will really notice since they're more of a singles act. This one will probably disappear quite quickly but they'll get a hit with Higher as that's possibly the best thing they've ever recorded.

Teen fans do it all the time these days and I can understand in this case.The Sats would be humiliated if they dropped to 2 behind FloRida again.It would be funny and sad at the same time.Plus two of the girls are with members of JLS and McFly I would expect nothing less than multiple buying all weekend.
August 13, 201015 yr There's chart rules against these kind of things- there's a fine line between shameless promotion and trying to manipulate the chart. Every time a girlband releases a single on here there's always talk of "the loons" buying multiple copies to get their artist to no1. In reality they'll be fans who do that for any artist even the ones not popular on buzzjack. The difference is the band are not usually asking you to buy multiple copies of the same song. The saturdays have worked hard over the last couple of years and despite a lukewarm response have continued the pace. They said the last album was make or break, so I'm assuming this mini one definitely is. They seem to have developed a hardcore base, albeit small too. I think MY is inferior to many of their songs but does have wide appeal- I thought it'd manage top10 and maybe top5- had I known they were doing all this stuff I would've surely thought top5. How many/what formats do they have anyway? I think despite this they'll still falter. On their big download day yesterday with the mobile sales they've still lost ground. I don't love the Flo song but its more representative of what most people like this week- not what a few people really really like and are foisting on others
August 13, 201015 yr I really hope Flo gets it this week - the multi-buying (and plugging of it by The Sats themselves) makes a mockery of the charts and on that basis, they don't deserve #1 IMO.
August 13, 201015 yr Multi buying is pretty ridiculous and 'silly'. Once you buy it, you've got it, you've supported and you have the song to listen to. Buying it more then once is pathetic in my opinion. They do not know you, they are earning a hell of a lot more then you, and in a way its expolitation of your own fans. Multi-buying = a nono.
