When will the new season of Glee air? Their first song available might be a no. 1 at some point (depending on the week it's out)

No it won't.

Nothing from Glee will ever be #1.

22/08/10 - Roll Deep

29/08/10 - Taio Cruz

05/09/10 - Taio/Katy Perry

12/09/10 - Taio/Katy/McFly/Alexandra Burke

19/09/10 - Taio/Katy/Example

26/09/10 - Taio/Katy

03/10/10 - Labrinth/Tinie Tempah

10/10/10 - Robbie&Gary

17/10/10 - Robbie & Gary/Pixie Lott

Do you really think Dynamite will be that big?

Sure, BYH was no. 1 but his duet with Kesha sort of underperformed and he has sold like 150k albums altogether with 2 releases.

Don't forget Joe McElderry's second single will appear Sept/Oct :nocheer: so I reckon it could come before Robbie & Gary's track or after it :( unless the track flops badly. Looks like everyone has forgotten about Joe

I think it's going to be huge but also there is no competition the weeks after it's released.

i think he'll be released the week after Robbie/Gary is released but i doubt he'll sell too much.

That's really leaving it too late after Rob & Gary, as the X Factor charity track will surface in November, at some point.

The week of September 6th has huge competition, and Christina Aguilera was right to postpone the release of the lacklustre 'You Lost Me' by two weeks (it was roginally going to be released on September 6). Unusually, Alexandra Burke's label postponed the release of 'Start Without You' by two weeks aswell, resulting in it ultimately being released on the same date there is huge competition for #1.

So that leaves, Alesha, McFly, The Script and Alexandra Burke fighting for #1, each song is as credible as each other in the competition for #1, and it may be the first week in a long time, where I can relax, knowing that a decent song will top the charts.

Of course, Justin Boobface is releasing fourth single from his début LP 'My World', called 'U Smile' (and it's all kinds of crap) so maybe some ten year old girls will go downloading it in the same fashion The Saturdays' fans are downloading 'Missing You'.

There's very little competition from Robyn and 'Hang With Me', despite it being on the right side of listenable, and as for Goldfrapp and 'Believer'... well, the two stand-out tracks have already been released from what must be their most commerical album to date - 'Head First' - and they've flopped badly. Mind you, Goldfrapp always been album sellers rather than single sellers, so I doubt they'll be any sign of 'Believer' on the official chart, leaving the top spot open to the big dogs alone.

Taio Cruz is like Jay Sean (on levels other than the fact they're both absolutely sh*te), in that America has taken to them a lot better than us Brits have, despite them both being British artists, so he's sold quite healthily over the other side of the pond.

Considering the obscene "OMG GOSSIP GOSSIP GOSSIP" nature of the tabloids following Joe being outed, whilst he may not be the talk of the town, he certainly hasn't faded into obscurity just yet. People forget that this happened with Leona, Alexandra, Diana etc, etc. before they came back with huge #1 singles; everyone thought they were unimportant until September/November time, when they came back with their 'début' singles.

No-one mentioned Quo yet? :P

In The Army Now is being re-released on September 26th with all the profits going to the Help For Heroes and British Forces Foundation charities. It will get a physical release, and as it's for charity MAY get stocked by supermarkets that don't usually sell singles. Has already got coverage in the press and the band will no doubt get on GMTV, This Morning, etc to promote it. Whether they appear at the Help For Heroes concert that is being broadcast by the BBC is anybody's guess, but I think this could do rather well.

Maybe they'll get their 2nd #1, 36 years after their last! :)

No it won't.

Nothing from Glee will ever be #1.

That's because their songs are all #2's... :w00t:

Even his recent revelation won't change that, at least in musical terms...

I think:

16th August: Roll Deep- Green Light/Eminem and Rihanna- Love The Way You Lie (pushed back again?! )- Chase and Status could go top 3 and One Night Only and Inna maybe top 10

23rd August: Taio Cruz- Dynamite for sure- no competition, although Brandon Flowers could be top 10

30th August: most likely Katy Perry- Teenage Dream, but now Im starting to have doubts, could be Dynamite again or it could well be Olly Murs with Please Don't Let Me Go, or Emanna with a physical release

6th September: VERY competitive week, but Im going to guess, McFly- Party Girl will be number 1, Alesha and Alexandra top 5, Linkin Park and The Script top 10

13th-20th: should be the same number 1, theres nothing that coud challenge out that week- Manic Street Preachers top 10?

27th September: unlikely but Status Quo- In The Army Now?

4th October: probably some X Factor $h!t, but Ill guess that Robbie and Gary's duet will be a hit
