No, it's not been a huge hit all over Europe, #1 in 150 000 000 countries, the kind of cheesy and let's-play-it-safe record often discussed in the dance forum ....

just a rather catchy tune by two producers / DJ's from London

Won't ever make the top 40 or the top 200 but I thought they deserved their own thread; Enjoy !

It's pretty good on first listen, no less 'safe' than most of the songs discussed in this forum though I'd have said, not too dissimilar to Push The Feeling On by Nightcrawlers.

<_<

I don't hear any similarity between them

"Push the feeling on" is a timeless funky deep House tune whereas "Man the cannons" is more of a fidget House record

There's no Korg M-1 organ sound or sax or vocals on "Man the cannons", or did I upload the wrong video ??

Judge for yourself :

It was just a personal observation about the main melody of Man the Cannons being similar to the progression of the sax hook in Push The Feeling On - in my opinion. Obviously there's no similarity between the production of the two songs, I just think that the general tune in places is similar. Both are decent songs regardless.

You're not entirely wrong about the progression, Gooddelta

An audio spectrum could bring this out I believe

I doubt a mash-up would work on the dancefloor, though :puke2:

I think it's a good song. I think it could go top 200 if it was promoted. You occasionally find random tracks in there done by a class of school children or something, so I'm sure a good track like this could.

I can see the similarity between the two songs too.
