No Vanessa Amorosi? I take it they didn't playlist her? I'm pretty sure commercial stations didn't either, she was all over The Box and the like though, which is probably how she got her top ten hit.

My playlists up to 2002 are incomplete, so I have no idea whether Vanessa Amorosi was playlisted, along with Sash - With My Own Eyes. I think they might've been snubbed but who knows. Same with the Fragma tracks "Everytime You Need Me" and "You Are Alive"

Plus at the time, dance stations like Kiss, Galaxy and Atlantic 252 had more power, along with The Box, so they could make hits without Radio 1.

Haven't they A-listed all his singles though? I think they have. No surprise there.

Retro coming up then ;)

Biffy Clyro is a group :lol:

Bombay Biclycle Club and Foals! :D

Have they playlisted the other Foals tracks this era? I'm guessing they have.

Radio 1 playlisted QOTSA before "Songs for the Deaf"? Wow, new found respect for the playlist. Wonder if anything there now will go on to have such acclaim in ten years...

Yup.

U smile is my fave new addition of the week! :kink:

strange to have a 6th biffy track alisted - i can only think it will be because its an album on the mercury list?!

the dlist is weird cos most tracks stay there and so you barely hear them then you find a year later the group has become massive and they re-release a song and it gets to the alist!??

No, it's just because Biffy are very much on Radio 1's 'Love List' of acts they'll always A-List.

Alongside Snow Patrol, You Me At Six, All Time Low, Muse, Vampire Weekend etc.

As I do every week, I'm listening to every newly added song to see if I like them. I'm enjoying the 800% slower version of U Smile by Justin Bieber! Very atmospheric/indie;

I can't say I enjoyed the regular version. Shock.

Oh wow, it's quite haunting yet soothing... like being at a beach during a storm.
