And I love 'Fashion of His Love' now. It certainly does NOT sound like a 'The Fame' track, at all.

It does actually. Perhaps not in a 'convinced this is actually from The Fame sessions' sort of way but in terms of how incredibly frothy and lightweight and boppy-synth-pop-ish it is.

HEAVY METAL LOVER ON REPEAT. OH. Projected between 900k-1M in the US now. Incredible.

Source please :)

Americano is incredible. From that marvelous intro to the Don't you try to catch me no, no, no line, pure love. It would be even better if it was all in Spanish.

Totally agree, my #1 song from the album right now  Apparently she has recorded a version entirely in Spanish but not sure if/when it's being released.

Anyone else REALLY like Bloody Mary? Even more 80s than FOHL, LOVE that bassline

Source please :)

Nobody (not least of all 3triangle) is going to go bother making up snippets of news like that. HDD/Soundscan are always the source.

Source please :)

"Interscope label chief Steve Berman's thorough campaign has the record blowing out everywhere, with first-week sales estimates ranging from 750k to a high of a million. Our latest guesstimate puts the number in the neighborhood of 900k." (Via Hits Daily Double)

It's a lightweight lycra version of 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody', with definite leaning to her more 'Cherry Cherry Boom Boom' tracks of times past.

The run of 'Highway Unicorn'/'Heavy Metal Lover'/'Electric Chapel' is standing out as rather magnificent at the moment. Such a complex, multi-faceted record...

Hair and Heavy Metal Lover have grown on me so much! Hair is now my second favourite overall, with Govenment Hooker a close 3rd. Grown a bit bored of Americano but the album is still fantastic and sounds amazing blasting out loud.

Looking like that for me at the moment (completely ignoring the existence of the awful deluxe tracks). I really can't remember the last mainstream pop album of this quality.

That Tiny Mix Tapes review is possibly the most pretentious thing I've EVER read.

Lady Gaga Born This Way Album 2nd day sales in Japan = 22,660

Total in 2 days so far in Japan = 68,518

Total in 2 days so far in the UK = 126k

Ok.... maybe 170k+ isn't a good guess for first week sales in Japan but 100k+ is guaranteed :P

Also 200k+ is guaranteed now in the UK :) .... unless something goes wrong horribly..

Edited by Gaga for Glee!

"The Lady Gaga album, released by Interscope records, part of Vivendi SA's Universal Music Group, is expected to be among the year's best sellers. The two online stores combined sold about 250,000 to 350,000 copies of the album in its first 24 hours, according to early estimates from a person in the music industry. Only a handful of albums this year have sold more than that in an entire week."

250-350K IN ONE DAY JUST FROM ITUNES AND AMAZON. WHAT THE HELL. US SALES ARE GOING TO BE MASSIVE.

Isn't there some question about whether the Amazon 99 cent sales are going to be counted? At least there was a couple of days ago...

According to this they will be counted:

In fact, Billboard's chart executives are excluding Gaga's Best Buy giveaway numbers from the Billboard 200, as both the data service and publication have a longstanding policy of not counting albums that are given away by retailers to consumers at no cost -- either as a stand-alone promotion or as part of a bundle with another item -- for charting purposes. But sales resulting from the Amazon 99-cents promotion will be factored into the Billboard 200, as those sales indicate consumer intent. (Currently no price minimums for charting inclusion have been established by Billboard for the sale of stand-alone albums, as a pricing policy is difficult to police with only sales volume -- and not consumer cost -- being tracked by SoundScan's data collection system.)

Oh goodness, and that's only digitally as well excluding Physically. I think 1 million+ now is really possible.
