I find it laughable that people think Cheryl is racist. In no way is she close to racist. I know a racist person in real life, and they, literally, cringe everytime they see a black or asian person.

 

Racist people just aren't that common nowadays, especially amongst people of Cheryl's generation. People nowadays are just quick to call everybody in the media racist, and if a person of an ethnic minority that they like doesn't do well, it's always because of their race.

 

Also, I think a lot of people are just fed-up of Cheryl being the sweetheart, and being overrated. They don't like seeing other people get success, so they get one incident from her past, and repeat it over, and over again. Infact, it's quite telling that they seem to have barely anything else of a similar vein to use in their agenda to get Cheryl to be a national hate figure.

 

It's Susan Boyle all over again. The poor woman did nothing wrong, but everybody just hated her because they felt she was overrated. Similar with JLS and Justin Bieber.

 

Unless you are Black, Asian, Chinese etc from an ethnic minority group you are in no position to claim that there are barely any racist people.Do racist attacks still happen-yes, do people face prejudice in the job market based on their race-yes.There is still a long way to go and I do not buy Cheryl is a changed saintly person after she attacked that toilet attendant she has just been very clever at hiding her tracks.

Funny how I've never watched any of the auditions yet I picked every finalist. Guess I know Cowell too well. The sucess of JLS & the up & rising boy band The Wanted will have Cowell salivating over his put together group of malleable youngsters. As usual he catches on a series later.

This amazes me too. You should see all the Cheryl 'hate' posts on DS ... its quite ridiculous. Simon doesn't really care which of the mentors has the winner ... as he is the overall winner ... which is probably why, as a farewell gesture ... he made himself the mentor of the groups category. And don't anyone say to me ... that they didn't know what categories they'd all been given. Even this wild card twist is only there to generate more money and hence more power to the Dark Lord.

 

Another thing ... I'm now (well I have been for a while) convinced that Katie is a deliberately planted hate figure by the producers ... don't anyone worry about the fragility of the little poppet ... she's been well and truly briefed on her job.

There is nothing "likeable" in the Katie we've seen so far (personality wise, cause I'm sure she is talented), and the producers know it very well. It's sad people don't see it.

Even today in the papers ... where they have a short statement from each of the finalists ... they all express relief and nervousness. Guess what Katie says .... 'I now know I can win it'. Nobody could/would say and do the things she's doing unless she was in the employ of someone to do so. She's to this year's X-F what Katie Hopkins was to the Apprentic a few years back ... and she's probably been in on it from about six months before this series began.

 

All of the above is just pure speculation on my part ... to save being sued!

Cheryl is clearly not a racist. Some people on here are extremely deluded if they think that.

 

However, I thought her choices were downright awful. Katie and Cher messed up in their Judge's House performances yet got through - which to me defeats the purpose of having any performance at that stage as clearly Cheryl's mind was already made up. Thsoe who were professional (TreyC and Gamu) were unfairly knocked out by a couple of twits who couldn't hold it together - and that isn't right.

 

And lol @ the Dark Lord comments - I would be astonished if Simon doesn't revel in comments such as those.

How the hell can Cheryl be classed as a rasict!? Her husband had dark skin for crying out loud!
