Anybody else think Cher's version of Stay would be contending for #1 if it was eligible?

I think that as well, I hope when the series has finished they release the sales for each week.

What is the difference, I am sure what they put on itunes must be a cleaned up pre recording that the acts have recorded with Savan Kotecha.I am not sure why people really think the standard of singing is that high this year that they could actually put the live performances up to download.Some of the acts Matt, Rebecca, Mary, Piaje and Treyc have really good voices but the rest they have backing singers and backing tracks helping them on stage.

Same thing happened in the States when Adam Lambert did a fantastic live version of 'Tracks of My Tears' on American Idol, but the version on sale was a studio recording which was completely different.

Jamiroquai (Waste of someone to be there.. still bitter over saturdays (A) cheryl and danni hate him for what he said in the press, threatning a reporter and not getting a standing ovation? not seen that in AGES!)

Rihanna - Her vocals will be bad but she's still great.

What did Jay Kay apparently saying about the X Factor judges? :o I thought it was really weird how unimpressed they all looked with him.

The front man had previously slated the show and it’s female judges in an interview with The Sun. He called Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole “f****** useless” and added:

 

“What are they going to tell me about f****** music?

 

He went on:

 

“What the f***. When have you ever done anything? You’re useless. The pair of you. I mean you look great and I’d like to f****** s**g you but that’s all.”

 

“I just don’t like the w**** stuff I have to do. F****** X Factor and that. I’m going to have to sing in front of f****** amateurs. Do you know what I mean?”

 

However, after singing his new single tonight, Jay appeared sheepish and told Dermot O’Leary:

 

“I have to say, I’ve had reservations about appearing on the show but I’ve had a wonderful day.

 

Everybody’s been charming, it’s been wonderful. ”

 

After the presenter asked if he had met the judges before, Jay quipped ‘well I’ve met two of them.’ Dannii and Cheryl proceeded to shoot him some of the dirtiest looks we have ever seen. We think this singer has had his card well and truly marked!

I read about what Jay Kay had apparantly said in The Sun but decided to take it with a pinch of salt. However, watching the results show and especially Cheryl Cole's frosty facial expression when Dermot introduced Jamiroquai I thought maybe it was right after all.

 

Then after Jamiroquai had performed and Dermot did the usual Q&A, I thought Jay Kay was going to go into a dramatic rant but said something about having a wonderful day and how much he liked the "the girl on the left". Poor Dannii. :(

Regardless of his opinion (which I don't agree with, at all) no-one should have to be spoken to in such a disgusting way. And his attitude is pathetic, speaking like he's some sort of musical genius when every song they've released sounds exactly the same.
