Oh right, fair enough. I didn't mean it will appeal to Will's fanbase, moreso the sort of people who like this sort of mid-tempo breezy pop from Will, Jason Mraz, Train etc...on daytime radio. I agree that Will is a hell of a lot more vocally talented, I saw him live in December 2008 and he was absolutely excellent. I can't say I'd be excited at the prospect of seeing Olly Murs live. I just meant that British males with soulful voices doing mid-tempo soul pop are not exactly all over the charts these days, Will was the closest comparison I could think of, even if Olly is light years behind him, purely because few men in their late 20's can take this sort of music into the charts nowadays. But this is his debut single, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt - I wasn't exactly a fan of Evergreen, Anything Is Possible or The Long & Winding Road. But the former, and Light My Fire are still all over commercial radio 8 years later, along with Leave Right Now and Who Am I, so this song could well prove to be one that hangs around for years if Olly's career flourishes in the future, if he breaks away from the clutches of Simon Cowell

Oh I understand where you are coming from now. Agree about Cowell's clutches. More of his artists should follow Will's example. Cowell is a hindrance not a help to anyone's longevity.

Look's like Olly's B-side is going to chart on Tuesday, it probably get taken off by Wednesday

At least we will have Tinie Tempah and Rihanna number ones to stop the borefest that is X Factor and Take That related songs.

That Olly song is terrible to be honest and he is just vile.

:o at Olly! I wasn't expecting him to do this well, especially so early! I think that Katy's album release is stopping the single going quite high, I think they should have released the single the week the video came out.

I honestly think Kanye, NERD and Same Difference will take off. I can't get why are they so low now.

Not a fan of 'Power' but NERD and SD songs are perfect!

I wonder if the remix will help the song reach at least the top 75, since most people will probably know the remix more from the music channels. ^_^

Possibly. It's current peak is #128, so it could help reach at least Top 100. ^_^

If ppl wanted the song, they'd buy it, regardless of the album's release date.

Besides, she'll have that 'album cherry-picking' effect. She's not a strong album artist so far so I guess the cherry-picks will be quite high for her.

Beyonce 'Why Don't You Love Me' is quite big in Russia for some reason, I hope she'll get a top-75 in the UK too. She did no wrong with this era: some singles aren't going high and peaking quite low but worldwide they all have decent sales. And they definitely help the album selling.

I for one won't be downloading it whereas I would have done if I wasn't about to buy the album tomorrow. I'm sure she'll have lost a fair few sales from people doing the same thing.

How well is it doing over there? It's not charted yet, has it?
