I think if Katy wishes to be number 1, she will need to be number 1 on itunes by friday. I think Teenage dream will be played alot in nightclubs over Olly Murs imo. Physicals are in ollys favour but by saturday night katy must have a minor lead.. with hope of her having another 2 versions in top 200.

It debuted at #1 on US iTunes before freefalling... I think top 20 wouldn't shock me for here.

Once combined Katy has such a nice lead now, hopefuly that will be enough !

yeah when you think that olly only had a lead for like 2 days and katy will have the lead for the rest of the week and also that his lead is constantly decreasing and hers constantly growing then i'm sure she'll be #1 on sunday. hopefully!

He may have hoped for one - but realistically I'm sure Olly, in his wildest dreams never seriously thought he'd get a top ten - so I'm sure he'll be delighted by getting as high as 2 ... and at least beaten to the top by a 'top name'.

Olly is ahead on every download site except iTunes and he has high physicals. Katy won't beat him unless she gets an *enormous* lead on iTunes, her current combined lead isn't big enough.

Agreed. Who opens with a 48k midweek sale and then loses the battle? :o He must have got a whopping head start and his physicals will be huge too by the looks of it. Long way to go for Katy, she's more likely to do it next week unless Alexandra/McFly have enough power to get there.

Maybe his team did but Ollie himself? At least he has the knowledge that as he didn't win X-F ... there is not the pressure upon him to reach number 1 as there was for Leon Jackson. Jackson had the added humiliation of being kept off the top by an incumbent and off the number 2 position by a joke song from a parody show.

 

If he doesn't get to number 1 ... he has hardly embarrassed himself.
