olly murs #1  woahhh that was so quick! Hope it stays that way. :)

kutox stop being so bitter, just because he's been on x factor doesnt mean he hasnt worked hard, dont be so arogant.

Beyonce didn't chart in the digital chart but I see her quite a lot on our music channels and it's the song about which the people are actually speaking.

I think California Gurls is rising also due to that weekend effect. :)

And Olly at #1... How well would he be doing without the X-Factor? It's the rhetorical question unfortunately.

Very tactical release from Olly isn't it?

I don't mind the song, but will not buy it because it supports fiX-Factor.

Yes you're right - he's worked so hard for this. Yep, he's fought hard to get noticed, worked hard for a record deal, and is selling purely because of the song, absolutely nothing to do with the fact he was an X Factor finalist and just happens to be releasing a song as a result of it. Oh and all the publicity has nothing at all to do with who he is

Am I alone thinking there should be a tight rules regarding the charts about "monopolies". For example Simon Cowell should not "mass promote" a song or pay the OCC?
Below the Top 600 is 'doing well'?

With the X-Factor domination anything is seen as doing well nowadays.

Songs can succeed without the X Factor though. Look at 'Dynamite'...

Considering they haven't had mass promotion and on a brand new small record label. And very tiny amounts of TV and Radio play then yeah I think its doing well - and there is another version charting as well
