Katy's second version of TD looks like it'll definitely go top 10. I thought it might stall just outside but its gained quite a bit since it got to #11, and is now just, just, behind Yolanda.

Once it gets top 10 will be interesting to see what effect it has - normally once a track goes top 10 for the first time it shoots up due to the "top 10 effect"; however, this won't be the first time TD has cracked the top 10 due to the first version already being there. Will be interesting to see if the top 10 effect for the second version is diluted somewhat as a result of this.

Will also be interesting to see if it works the other way - i.e. now the second version is top 10, if it does indeed benefit from the "top 10 effect", if that has an equal but opposite effect on the first version (i.e. it stalls or even decreases).

Exciting battle this week, I'm buzzin' and lovin' it!!! ;) :heehee:

She's even closer now than she was in your previous post!

Well, the size of our IMG's are different ;)

On iTunes if you size it out more the bars look more spaced out, if you make like... a smaller size the bars are closer :P

Shindy's correct, Katy P is definitely closer, at 12.22pm pop bars, Yolanda was 15% ahead of KP's 2nd version; at 12.52pm pop bars, Yolanda is only 7% ahead of KP's pop bars.

Also, combined, at 12.22pm pop bars Katy was 12% ahead of Olly; at 12.52pm Katy is 15% ahead of Olly.

She needs to be more ahead combined (probably at least 25%) to have any chance of the #1 spot on Sunday - but perhaps may even need to be ahead a lot more to reverse the current midweek sales gap.

When was the last time 2 tracks have made the top 10 on iTunes, and how many times has it happened? I remember Leona doing it with Bleeding Love, holding the #1 and #4 positions. Dizzee did it as well, right?

Ooh :P and it will be so funny if she has 2 tracks in the Top 10. I hope she keeps on increasing fast.

I think the version of 11 has fallen back a bit

Kid Cudi & Kanye West  44

this album version is clearly affecting the single version- which should of overtook by now at the rate it was going on sunday, will be very strange if there are two versions in the top 10, does anyone know the last time that happened?

anyways, the album version wont go that much higher because well- the single version is already very high and that is being affected by the album version- this was always a problem she was going to have with releasing the album at the same time

very exciting battle though- still dont know how this is going to turn out :o

This is getting exciting ;P I think, they may even be able to beat Taio's sales last week <3

Loving the top 3 atm

I hope Pepper & The Piano can get top 3 :')

You're too smart.

The middle word can never make sense in a statement such as that :P :heehee:

The last time a song was twice in the top 10 was Dizzee's Bonkersa, which was at one point both #2 and #3 - but this was down to an error where the radio edit was removed while it was #1, so the Club Mix shot up to #2

Both Telephone and Killing In The Name have recently been in the top 10 (#1 on both occasions in fact) and #11 at the same time, while In For The Kill had 2 and 11 last year.

Kid Cudi & Kanye West  #40 :o Does anyone remember if 'Make Her Say' made the top 40 on iTunes? It peaked at #67 officially

Katy Perry now has a very decent lead combined, the gap is a bit bigger than The Wanted's current bars at #16

What's going on with Alors On Danse? :( It seems to have completely stalled and it's out next week. I really thought it had a shot at top ten at least but it will be lucky to go top 20 now...#1 peak in every other country, #23 in the UK :drama:
Also Katy has a 3rd version just outside the top 100, so that adds 2% to the combined lead I quoted earlier - therefore combined lead is actually 17%.

Is my comparison of the lead as the current size of The Wanted's bars accurate at all?

Is my comparison of the lead as the current size of The Wanted's bars accurate at all?

Yep, spot on. :)

And with the 3rd version outside the top 100 added into the mix, the lead equates to the size of Bob, Usher and NeYo's bars.

How much will The Wanted sell this week?

How much will Bob, Usher and NeYo sell this week?

Only approx figures needed, that would allow us to work out if Katy sustains her lead at this level for the rest of the week, just how many more sales than Olly from downloads on iTunes she'll make, and therefore how much Olly needs to be ahead right now to sustain his lead.

The middle word can never make sense in a statement such as that :P :heehee:

Very?

Just so you know (slightly off-topic), Leona is apparently performing on America's 'Stand Up to Cancer' telethon this month. Thought you'd be interested. :kink:

EDIT: Just to add, Leona looks f**king hot in my avatar!

Based on the 3.08pm pop bars:-

Katy’s 1st version is now only 5% behind Olly (was 6% behind at 1pm, and 7% behind at 12 noon) so is gaining slowly but may not overtake until later this evening.

Her 2nd version is now only 2% behind Yolanda’s (was 7% behind at 1pm, and 15% behind at 12 noon), so will prob overtake Yolanda in the next update.

Combined 1st and 2nd versions are now 17% ahead of Olly (was 15% ahead at 1pm and 12% ahead at 12 noon)

Combined 1st, 2nd and 3rd version are now 19% ahead of Olly (was 17% ahead at 1pm and 14% ahead at 12 noon).

The lead of versions 1, 2 and 3 for Katy now equates to the size of Brandon’s bar.
