BJSC is one big Silk Bullet clique though, the majority of Silk Bullet members totally dominate BJSC so not including this contest but including one massive Silk Bullet love in is a bit discriminatory

 

Plus the only BJSC winner not in Silk Bullet is Ben who has now left our team

 

Given the massive BJSC advantage that Silk Bullet have I urge you to level the playing field by including competitions like this

Actually I think the REAL argument against BJSC is that it IS an exclusive competition as far as I can work out, in that there are limited spaces and it actually isn't even possible for everyone to enter in the same way we can with the CD cover or the Prediciton games...

Agree with that too, there is a waiting list :unsure: so if anything BJSC competitions should be disallowed as they don't include the majority of BJ in terms of possible participation

Plus only Rich and Tyron do (somewhat) consistently well. Others only have occasional Top 10's once in 3 months if not more seldom.

It can potentially - even right now there's less than 20 points separating Silk Bullet and Blue Waffle...

 

 

It's not so much about how much difference it does or doesn't make, but more a question of fairness - is it right to include a game that automatically gives one team an immediate advantage over the rest, as most of Blue Waffle, Quest and Toxic Champagne are ALREADY excluded from even taking part?

There could be changes made about this, like reopening the new countries registration and putting the first come - first served rule in power, at least for the duration of the Teams, or until it's decided to exclude BJSC results from the Teams source of points. Surely the whole arguement will just fall apart if it gets implemented.

That's an if - and that's only if the BJSC mods WANT to make those concessions for the sake of the Teams thing, which they're not obligated to do...

I am not biased against any team I simply have opinions on or ask questions about the rules, only 2 days ago I debated with Shoat about the Family Fortunes thing in our forum so I am not biased against any one team or individual, just opinionated

These are the exact reasons why Unknown Pleasures will not count towards the team scores. The main reasons the first two have gone down so well are, IMO, that it is about the music, discovering new songs and hoping you can introduce others to something you love which is unknown, and that it's a very manageable size. 26 and 29 people have taken part and it's been very good that way, it's just enough songs without having too much to listen to and having to introduce semi finals. I said there should be a limit of 30 and I intend to stick to that. Also, I created it to be an alternative to BJSC. If we get rid of the limit so anyone can enter (which we'd have to do to make sure all 87 team participants have an equal chance of winning points), and people send songs to finish in the top 10, not to introduce people to, then we may as well call it "Anonymous BJSC".

There is no exclusion at all, given it'll be first-come-first-served when it reopens...

I really want to limit the number of outside competitions for which points count towards the teams. I don't think BJSC should be included. Keep it to the cover comp and one or two prediction games max. Points can won for the teams with TASKS.

I don't know that I'll rejoin it when it comes back, I was getting ridiculously bored of it because of this fact :( I would take part in UP but I've had a really hectic few weeks at both of the times that they were running - maybe I'll take part in the third one if I can...I also don't think BJSC/UP should be included in the teams points personally for the reasons you and Shoat have stated.

If so I shall almost certainly return. Although having said that, I have no idea what I would have sent for the last two months if it had been running. My favourite non-chart songs of recent times have been US country and Swedish rap - which would both go down like a lead balloon. Oh, and the new Jenny Berggren song but that would be a tad uninspired so I wouldn't have gone there. I think I've finally run out of inspiration :lol:

Maybe there should be some kind of team wide vote because it's quite clear that almost nobody in Toxic gives a stuff about BJSC or the cover competition. If all the people that do care all ended up the same one or two teams that kind of spoils the point of including it and merely alienates others from joining in
