September 9, 201014 yr The "problem" with these lists is of course that the artists that are currentluy popular are "too high"

September 11, 201014 yr This is why it should be done every few years, so a measure of popularity at the time and to see who's legacy can endure. I echo this- if we do the same poll again in about 4 or 5 years time, the ones that are still there from this poll no matter how low- would be the true great male artists I highly doubt the likes of Justin Bieber and Chipmunk will still be voted for in 5 years time
September 12, 201014 yr http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/Matthew_Bridgehouse/CookeSam.jpg 72 Sam Cooke (76pts) Stats Votes: 6 Highest Position: 2 Top Ten Finishes: 3 Years Active: 1950-1964 Country Of Origin: USA Finish In Nominations Top 100: =47 Sam Cooke was an earlier pioneer of soul music, often recieving the accolade King Of Soul, although his music career was short-lived as Cooke was shot dead (sadly one of handful on this list), Cooke's music goes on to inspire people today and throughout music. His memory lives on. Cooke finishes higher than Jesse McCartney as he had more votes. Favourite Song: Wonderful World http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/Matthew_Bridgehouse/HendrixJ.jpg 71 Jimi Hendrix (77pts) Stats Votes: 5 Highest Position: 2 Top Ten Finishes: 2 Years Active: 1963-1970 Country Of Origin: USA Finish In Nominations Top 100: =50 Jimi Hendrix is one of the most famous male artists of all time, known for his singing, songwriting and producing. Most of all he's known as an electric guitarist, and is often cited as on the best ever. The epitomy of cool, Hendrix's musical career was also tragically cut short after he died at the age of 27 in unconfirmed circumstances. He will be remembered as a brilliant musician and the headline act at the famous Woodstock festival. Favourite Song: Voodoo Chile (from Electric Ladyland) as part of The Jimi Hendrix Experience <3 <3 <3 Two of my favourite artists of all time!!
September 13, 201014 yr Author Gonna do much shorter commentary to get though them, although i'm sure you'll miss the information and the wit! http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/Matthew_Bridgehouse/GrohlDave.jpg 64 Dave Grohl (84pts) Stats Votes: 6 Highest Position: 2 Top Ten Finishes: 3 Years Active: 1987-Present Country Of Origin: USA Finish In Nominations Top 100: =80 Dave Grohl finishes higher on the list than Kele because through having more votes. Grohl is world-known as being part of both Nirvana (it's frontman finishing higher) and Foo Fighters. As apposed to Nirvana, in Foo Fighters, Grohl was the frontman, which helped him gain more notoriety with his drumming and songwriting. Favourite Song: Learn To Fly (from There Is Nothing Left to Lose) as Foo Fighters Edited September 13, 201014 yr by Leonardo2505
September 13, 201014 yr Author http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/Matthew_Bridgehouse/TedderRyan.jpg 63 Ryan Tedder (86pts) Stats Votes: 8 Highest Position: 4 Top Ten Finishes: 2 Years Active: 1999-Present Country Of Origin: USA Finish In Nominations Top 100: =93 Yes, it's the other brain behing Bleeding Love, Ryan Tedder is famous for fronting band OneRepublic, he has a sweet, endearing voice and writes for many different artists inc. Beyonce & Kelly Clarkson. Rumour has it, he will be a judge on American X Factor as well. Favourite Song: Apologize (from Dreaming Out Loud) as OneRepublic
September 13, 201014 yr Author I'm sure the news that next act missed the top 60 will be of relief to some of you
September 13, 201014 yr Author http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/Matthew_Bridgehouse/BieberJustin.jpg 62 Justin Bieber (87pts) Stats Votes: 7 Highest Position: 1 (WillRO713) Top Ten Finishes: 3 Years Active: 2007-Present Country Of Origin: Canada Finish In Nominations Top 100: =60 KKs: 7 (Charli, Alex!,De Niro, Shoat, Josh, Chart Wizard, Marrb) Despite having 21 points kicked out of him (the most of the 100), Justin Bieber finishes a respectable number 62 on the list. Bieber is the teen idol (hate that term) of the moment, but this little bugger's got the backing of Usher and his urban crew, true, all his songs so far are bland repetitive dribble, but he must have something about him because he's second in amount of videos watched on YouTube (behind Lady GaGa obv.) So where will he be in twenty years time, on top of the music world, or presenting American quiz shows ala seventies counterpart Donny Osmund. Who knows, and really who cares? Favourite Song: Baby (from My World.2) with Ludacris Edited September 13, 201014 yr by Leonardo2505

September 13, 201014 yr Author http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/Matthew_Bridgehouse/TylerSteven.jpg 61 Steven Tyler (89pts) Stats Votes: 6 Highest Position: 1 (Josh) Top Ten Finishes: 3 Years Active: 1964-Present Country Of Origin: USA Finish In Nominations Top 100: =91 No, it's not a picture of Shania Twain looking a bit ropey, it's Aerosmith singer, Steven Tyler, the band has achieved good success being one of the most popular rock bands of the nineties with hits such as Dude Looks Like A Lady, Walk This Way & I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing. Tyler's voice is distinctive and a very good rock one, surprised in a good way, that he's risen so much since nominations. Favourite Song: Crazy (from Get A Grip) as Aerosmith Edited September 13, 201014 yr by Leonardo2505

September 13, 201014 yr Author http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/Matthew_Bridgehouse/CobainKurt.jpg 60 Kurt Cobain (90pts) Stats Votes: 7 Highest Position: 1 (Consuela) Top Ten Finishes: 3 Years Active: 1982-1994 Country Of Origin: USA Finish In Nominations Top 100: =61 The other member of Nirvana in the list, finishing higher than fellow band member Dave Grohl and widow Courtney Love in her perspective list. Kurt Cobain seemed to define a generation as Nirvana, whether you liked them or not, their submersive music has become iconic and they introduced grunge to the world. Favourite Song: Smells Like Teen Spirit (from Nevermind) as Nirvana
September 13, 201014 yr Author http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/Matthew_Bridgehouse/HudsonMr.jpg 59 Mr. Hudson (90pts) Stats Votes: 6 Highest Position: 2 Top Ten Finishes: 3 Years Active: 2007-Present Country Of Origin: UK Finish In Nominations Top 100: =71 Who said you can't get R+B stars from Birmingham, well nobody actually but it is rare. Mr. Hudson hasn't had that many songs out as of yet but the one's he has had out like Supernova & Playing With Fire are crackers, and I look forward to seeing more of him, not like that... actually he is attractive in an Aryian sort of a way. Favourite Song: Young Forever (from The Blueprint 3) as Jay-Z Ft. Mr. Hudson
September 13, 201014 yr Well Thank God Biebers gone- but 62 (and would have been higher without all the points knocked off) and above all those legends? Kurt Cobain was an icon, albeit very dodgy and did well to get that high, Dave Grohl and Steven Tyler also are legends Mr Hudson is too high tbh, although I quite like him
September 13, 201014 yr Justin Bieber's mere inclusion on this list is an utter SHAME on Buzzjack as a collective.
