August 27, 201014 yr Surprised Drake made it through- as you said, hes nothing new Gary Lightbody has a great voice- makes Chasing Cars and Run what they are- beautiful  Shayne Ward- oh dear, whats happened to him? nothing special tbh, good position for him and Ben E king, well Stand By Me is absolutely brilliant, dont know anything else by him unfortunately
August 28, 201014 yr Drake  Now that Find Your Love has become his first single to chart over here.. I hope he manages to do well with upcoming singles etc.. He probably only made it in the top 100 because of me
August 28, 201014 yr including a UK & US number one album with Thank Me Later Thank Me Later got to #15 in the UK...
August 29, 201014 yr The film Stand By Me was on the TV last night - great story. Ben E King was one of my choices - he's lost it now unfortunately. I saw him a while ago and it was painful to watch - a bit like Paul Young - struggling to hit the notes. Three of mine have now gone  Edited August 29, 201014 yr by munchkin
August 31, 201014 yr Author And after a wee weekend break.... http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/Matthew_Bridgehouse/DylanBob.jpg 83 Bob Dylan (61pts) Stats Votes: 4 Highest Position: 8 Top Ten Finishes: 3 Years Active: 1959-Present Country Of Origin: USA Finish In Nominations Top 100: =39 Another older male artist taking a plummet after nomination stages, Dylan finished higher than Ben E. King through amount of Top Ten finishes. Dylan has been the critic's darling for decades known for bringing folk to the masses and creating engaging thought-provoking videos and songs. Dylan has recently topped the UK Album charts, making him the oldest man to do so, and highlighting a relevance he still has on the modern music scene. However, with all this gushing I should point out that he's not my cup of tea. Favourite Song: Blowin' In The Wind (from The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan)
August 31, 201014 yr Author http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/Matthew_Bridgehouse/Chipmunk.jpg 82 Chipmunk (62pts) Stats Votes: 5 Highest Position: 7 Top Ten Finishes: 1 Years Active: 2007-Present Country Of Origin: UK Finish In Nominations Top 100: =62 From the old to the young, Chipmunk has made a splash on the UK charts in the past few years and is one of the more prevalent urban stars despite only being 19, He has won two MOBO awards for Best Newcomer and Best Hip-Hop Artist, He has had four top ten singles in two years including the number one, Oopsy Daisy. I quite like some of his songs, and don't really have anything bad to say about him. Favourite Song: Diamond Rings (from I Am Chipmunk) as Chipmunk Ft. Emeli Sande
August 31, 201014 yr Author http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/Matthew_Bridgehouse/Example.jpg 81 Example (66pts) Stats Votes: 5 Highest Position: 5 Top Ten Finishes: 2 Years Active: 2007-Present Country Of Origin: UK Finish In Nominations Top 100: =40 Example, like Chipmunk, is a mono-named UK rapper/singer who has had recent chart success. Example's first album bombed What We Made bombed, however the second album Won't Go Quietly made number 4, and it's era of singles have done rather well. I haven't a lot to say about Example rather than I have liked his last few singles, not had such a commentary-making career as of yet, maybe the best is still yet to come! Favourite Song: Won't Go Quietly (From Won't Go Quietly)
August 31, 201014 yr Bob Dylan again suffering as the younger members dont know him- great musician Example and Chipmunk are both good, but shouldnt be higher than him
August 31, 201014 yr Author Your 100 so far; 81 Example 82 Chipmunk 83 Bob Dylan 84 Ben E. King 85 Shayne Ward 86 Gary Lightbody 87 Drake 88 Flo Rida 89 Tom Chaplin 90 Danny O'Donoghue 91 Billy Joel 92 Mark Owen 93 Frank Sinatra 94 Daniel Powter 95 Adam Young/Owl City 96 James Blunt 97 John Legend 98 Jonsi Birgisson 99 Mick Jagger 100 Kid Cudi
August 31, 201014 yr Author Now to kick off the top 80! http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/Matthew_Bridgehouse/YorkeThom.jpg 80 Thom Yorke (67pts) Stats Votes: 6 Highest Position: 3 Top Ten Finishes: 3 Years Active: 1985-Present Country Of Origin: UK Finish In Nominations Top 100: =95 Thom Yorke had one of the most radio recognized voices of the 1990's. Yorke is the lead singer of band Radiohead who were popular with critics and consumers alike despite never having a UK number one. Yorke has also had solo success beginning in 2006 with debut album Revolver. Yorke is still regularly featured in polls of great singers. Despite, a rise in votes since nominations, I still think that he's ranked too low. Favourite Song: No Surprises (from OK Computer) as part of Radiohead
August 31, 201014 yr Oh dear how someone who has released three singles or sth be higher than Bob Dylan? Everybody knows at least four songs by Dylan!
August 31, 201014 yr Author http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/Matthew_Bridgehouse/CaveNick.jpg 79 Nick Cave (71pts) Stats Votes: 4 Highest Position: 3 Top Ten Finishes: 3 Years Active: 1973-Present Country Of Origin: Australia Finish In Nominations Top 100: =71 Although he didn't a lot of votes he was always ranked high, proof maybe that Nick Cave has a smaller but dedicated list of fans, don't much about the fella in particular (until I researched obv.), but he has had good success with three different musical projects; The Birthday Party, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds & a sort-of solo Grinderman, Cave remains one of the forefront alternative circuit, also branching out into novel writing and acting. Favourite Song: Where The Wild Roses Grow with Kylie Minogue
August 31, 201014 yr Both Thom Yorke and Nick Cave do nothing for me also. Wonder when people I genuinely like or love will show up!
August 31, 201014 yr Deary me, all these influential artists below Justin Bieber- how did he do this well?
