Tonight and next Tuesday at 9pm, two-part story. I'll certainly miss it. :(

but why

The Bill's time has come and gone a long while back... It seemed a very retrogressive (not to mention old-fashioned and had a rather idealised view of the Police, almost in that sort of "Dixon of Dock Green" sense) Police drama at the best of times when one takes into consideration the quality of shows that were all around it, such as Prime Suspect, The Commander, Cops, Between The Lines, as well as brilliant US police shows like Homicide, NYPD Blue, The Wire, The Shield... I mean, really I could sit around all day listing shows that were better than The Bill....

The Bill was a soap though in effect. It didn't need to be horribly gritty and miserable. It was just a serial about people who worked in the police.

Anyway I won't miss it. I've never really watched.
