Thanks Ghosty!

26. Indeed it is, surprisingly, considering McFly go electro sounds like a recipe for disaster  I didn't see that, luckily!

33. It's gorgeous  I agree there, definitely.

36. Yeah agreed, her Little Lies cover was really nice. But a nice touch to put a clutch of new tracks on there to keep it up to date. I didn't think you loved Butterflies that much last year, where did it peak in your chart in the end? :o

41. Yes, definitely - good comparison! Their EP is up for free on their MySpace and worth a download. I really love another track on there called Crime Wave :D

45. It's decent, and in keeping with their old stuff but showing signs of progression too!

50. Her first two singles made my top ten and this is good too, so yep I'm looking forward to the album too :D

36 - Number 5 if I remember correctly. It originally peaked at number 39, but then I fell in love with it at a much later date and re-entered it.

41 - Oh cool, shall scurry off over there to download it now :D

45 - That's good then, I did like a few of their singles, the album was a little tiring I found though.

Be gone -_- Alors On Danse is sensational! I love Shame too, hardly anyone else does though :( I guess if it's not Katy Perry it just won't do, right? :kink:

Yes Butterflies is gorgeous, although I never charted it when Ashton sent it to BJSC, this ex-#1 dates back to January 2009 :drama:

Alors On Danse is AWFUL :( It doesnt even have the 'We No Speak Americano' "this should be $h!t but is infact amazing" this going on, it's just plain awful!

Too right and all, Katy  and blink-182

It's in a different league to 'Americano', it's not in any way 'should be $h!t', it's literally incredible!

Blink's set was just on BBC Three! I watched some of it, they seemed good but it's not the same on TV really, the mics seemed a bit low, on Mark in particular.

Yeah I watched them on BBC3 last night, had nothing on seeing them live  Such a great set.

41. Good stuff, let me know if you like Crime Wave!

45. Agreed. Loved all three/four? of the singles from their debut album, but the album itself was completely average - definitely good at picking their singles and fooling album buyers

Country music making a surprising strong presence in the Top 10. I do like a bit of country from time to time, it's usually the less honky-tonk stuff.

It's nice seeing Katy charting with a couple of songs on here, TD is a good album.

I'm liking Cee-Lo's song, but I think Lily Allen did the better F*ck You song though.

Great chart as always!

Thanks West. I do like a bit of country every now and then, it's a bit bizarre that two I love are around at the same time though - although neither are in any way similar to one another.

36. I was discussing this point with Phil actually just last week! I don't think it would have won - Yohanna probably would have but I also wouldn't have ruled out Aysel & Arash as Fairytale picked up a load of top marks from Eastern Europe which would have gone to Always otherwise. I think Tone would have come 5th-10th, it's too twee to win Eurovision I think, and a Tone/Yohanna top two (two female Scandi-pop songs) just wouldn't have happened. I know the songs aren't that similar, but they would have taken a certain amount of votes off each other, and Yohanna definitely would have come ahead of Tone, just because her vocals were so incredible. Judging by MGP, Tone's wouldn't have been anywhere near as good.

41. Fair enough. I can't remember the other songs apart from those two, it has to be said :drama: Two tracks I love for free (and legal) was nice though!

36 - I agree with that. I should think Always would have edged it for the reasons you said, Is It True and Butterflies would definitely have cancelled each other out I think. Is It True is definitely the stronger song of the two also, I feel.

41 - Exactly :D

Hi Richard :D Let's see what's going to be massive in October. :kink:

1. Stromae - Alors On Danse (2) (CR-41-39-25-18-12-9-8-9-13-17-OUT-19-12-23-18-14-15-3-6-1-2-1) Longest Runner

Back to the top? :D I actually thought Stromae was going to top your chart around the time when it was peaking at #8 but alas it never happened. Now it's definitely worthy of its place inside your top 5 singles of 2010.

4. Rumer - Slow (6) (CR-12-6-4)

Hmm, I have a love/hate thing about this song hence why it just scraped into my top 40. Rumer is clearly an excellent singer but 'Slow' is far too MOR for my liking. I can listen to this song for the first two minutes but as the track doesn't seem to build up or go anywhere it makes me feel restless listening to it. I'd like to hear Rumer perform something more motown influenced.

6. Robbie Williams & Gary Barlow - Shame (NEW) (CR-6)

I suppose it was inevitable that this would be slated. We're in the elusive Buzzjack club of male artist appreciation. I do like this song but fair enough to those who don't like this song. Maybe the whole singer/songwriter style is "so 2005" but I don't associate a song with an specific period of time. If a song is really good, it's really good - regardless of if a similar song was popular two years before. This is heading straight to no. 1 in its week of release and I suspect it'll have the highest first week sales of all the UK #1s of 2010. In fact, this could be a strong contender for biggest selling UK single 2010.

9. KT Tunstall - (Still A) Weirdo (11) (CR-11-9)

Heard this one morning last week and was really disappointed. It just seemed really flat and didn't seem to progress or go anywhere. I have a gut feeling this will be another flop era for KT. She needs to produce another 'Black Horse And The Cherry Tree'.

18. Armin van Buuren vs. Sophie Ellis Bextor - Not Giving Up On Love (45) (CR-45-18)

Like I posted in Ghosty's chart, this is the best Sophie related song I've heard in the last 12 months but again the chorus is really disappointing. With these type of songs, I always expect there's going to be this massive chorus that lifts the song - in all three Sophie singles from the last 12 months, none have benefitted from a killer chorus.

19. Manic Street Preachers - (It’s Not War) - Just The End of Love (24) (CR-24-19)

Really? :o I heard this and was really unimpressed...and that's got nothing to do with a lack of female vocalist (Nina  ). I guess there's still time for this to grow but my initial opinion of this is that it lacks that something. Like there's potential there but it's 75% done.

21. Sky Ferreira - One (10) (CR-25-17-9-3-5-10-21)

I knew it'd bomb. It probably did deserve to have at least gone top 40 but it's far too 2009 to have a unique selling point in a 2010 sales climate.

31. Cee-Lo Green - F*ck You (NEW) (CR-31)

I've read a lot of comments on here about this tracks supposedly being a massive hit - might even outsell Robbie & Gary for #1. It won't!!! ;) Not saying this is rubbish because there's a decent song behind all the swearing. I'm again not 100% sold on this song having listened to it a couple of times. Famous last words - I wasn't keen on 'Crazy' by Gnarls Barkley at first and look what happened there. :P

39. Alex Gaudino - I'm In Love (I Wanna Do It) (40) (CR-40-39)

A steady climb up your chart. I actually like this a lot - this has the type of Euphoric big chorus that Sophie Ellis Bextor has so desperately tried to find but failed. The whole "i wanna, i wanna, i wanna do it" sounds so catchy, I actually thought this might've been sampled from an old track (unless it has :D ).

Lots of other new releases I've yet to hear and some tracks I know I like moving your chart. Have you heard ATB's new track 'Could You Believe'? Doing well in a couple of European countries. Sounds like the type of song you'd like.

Jesus Christ at your run for Stromae :o I'm thinking of charting it in my top 10 next week, I'm hearing it on the radio much more often now. It's definitely very infectious.

Also, I had a feeling from the general negative reception that you'd be the only person who liked Shame, but I like it as well now I've heard it :kink: You're not alone etc.

Miami 2 Ibiza is far far too low. :(

Anyway, yes, great chart as always. I always read your chart but I have, like, never commented on it until today

36. I prefer Butterflies to Is It True personally, but Yohanna's a much better singer, particularly live and sold her song better than Tone ever could.

Thanks Hits :D Yeah, I'm not quite sure why Alors On Danse never went above #8 originally, as it was always in my top 5 most played songs of the week for a few weeks at least...oh well, I'm making up for it now! You might prefer Rumer's next single, Am I Forgiven, a lot more uptempo! I can't see Shame contending for the biggest seller of the year but I do hope and think it will go to #1. I really love it. I don't think the Sophie E-B song needs a 'killer chorus', I love the chilled out feel it has, it doesn't pretend to be some huge anthem like her last two singles, which left me quite cold. I find the new Manics song really catchy actually, very much their classic sound, although granted nowhere near the quality of Your Love Alone...Not heard the new ATB track yet, will try and find it shortly!

It's had a fairly amazing chart run  Shame it's barely even crawling up iTunes now, looks like it won't even go top 20 at this rate :/

Shame is great, I'm gutted barely anybody else likes it :( At least there are a few of us with ears!

It will climb, I've only got a 2 minute version for some reason and it's charting based on that

36. I prefer Butterflies to Is It True personally, but Yohanna's a much better singer, particularly live and sold her song better than Tone ever could.

Oh right, fair enough. Yeah, Yohanna had a magnificent live vocal and she definitely earned her second place, the performance made me fall in love with the song, think it was like my 4th or 5th choice going into the semi-finals, but after the performance it was my second favourite, displacing Waldo's People! :o Shame about that dress though

Indeed, her dress was awful  It became my 3rd favourite I think, having been about 8th or 9th beforehand - stunning vocal.
