Posted August 27, 201014 yr Workaholic popstar P!nk has saved herself a trip to the emergency room for exhaustion by announcing that she plans to take a year off in 2011. The 30-year-old singer has pretty much been working non-stop since 2006, releasing and promoting two albums (I’m Not Dead and Funhouse), and then embarking on three huge world tours to support them. She’s currently on her Funhouse Summer Carnival tour across Europe, which is an extension of 2009′s $103 million-grossing Funhouse Tour. Meanwhile, the Funhouse album has spawned six singles so far (including the #1 hit “So What”) and is still currently charting well worldwide, with sales of over 6 million copies and counting. Yeah, I think it’s time to take a break Pink. Pink actually lost a little ground on the pop megastar scale when her Try This album (my fave Pink album just so you know) flopped, but thanks to some careful single choices, hardcore promotion and non-stop touring, she’s re-established herself as one of the biggest female artists in the industry today. There’s no danger of her losing her position now if she takes a short break throughout next year. Whether or not it will be a real break, or a Beyonce ‘break’, is yet to be seen.
