I know most UK fans won't be familiar with Shaki's earlier stuff as it's Spanish, but this album reminds me so much of my childhood.

 

I've been listening to it a lot lately and I know every lyrics from it. It is her best album in my opinion, the music is great (doesn't sound dated at all)!

 

What do u guys think??

Pies Descalzos is great. I think it's not quite as rounded as DELL but that's natural as it was Shakira's first major album. I think a couple of the songs sound a bit dated like Donde Estas Corazon and Se Quiere Se Mata, but I like that. Dated sounds negative, they actually just sound "of their time". Pies Descalzos is such an amazing song though - one of my all time favourite Shakira songs.

Ouch, "Donde Estas Corazon" is one of my all time faves, so are "Te Espero Sentada" and "Vuelve".

 

"Se Quiere, Se Mata" has never been of my faves but it was good enough for the album.

Her first 2 are really rare and like matty said, i think they cost about £1000

Magia and Peligro are rare, and i so want them :P

 

aww Pies Descalzos :wub: I have to admit it took me a while to get used to, although I made a connection immediately with Estoy Aqui. Its a really great summer album, just lounging around the pool, its great songs like Te Espero Sentada and Te Necessito. I also really love Pienso En Ti, it's so beautiful :wub: the only song I usually skip is Antologia, it just doesnt do anything for me if im honest. the Song Pies Descalzos Suenos Blancos is so hot though, one of my shaki favs :wub:

She did a lot of performances in Latin America for this album. The singles from Pies Descalzos were Donde Estas Corazon, Estoy Aqui, Pies Descalzos, Se Quiere Se Mata and Un Poco De Amor.

 

I've been listening alot to Un Poco De Amor recently - it's such a great song. And it has a rapper (well sorta) - so screw everyone who said Shakira sold out when she went with Wyclef :P

 

Jjack, you should be able to get most Shakira labums in HMV - if not, you can get them from the internet just like a normal CD. DELL is only £8.99 in my local HMV.

 

As for Magia and Peligro, they are pretty bad. The only decent songs are Brujeria, Peligro and Ultimo Momento. And that's only if you like cheap 80's sounding songs :lol:

I just checked the PD booklet and the male part on Un Poco De Amor is done by a man called Luis F. Ochoa

I don't think it's Luis F Ochoa - he's the producer and Shakira's co writer. He's the guitarist with Tim Mitchell on MTV Unplugged.

 

It might be Howard Glassfor because in the back it lists his name under "Rasta vox" - could be wrong though,

This was her best album. In her new records, there isn´t one song that can beat the goodness of these ones. I enjoyed everything on this album apart from Cada Dia and the portuguese versions.
